This hotel is in a spectacular position. The restaurant sits directly on the lake and its very beautiful. The food in the restaurant is amazing and despite the brittle service it is worth a visit. The most unfortunate part to this hotel is the women that greets you as your host. She barely looked at us when we arrived. When... More

We stayed here in mid october. Weather not brilliant, but a delightful little town, and the hotel is in the middle. Nevertheless it is very quiet. Spotlessly clean, recently refurbished in a slightly quirky but attractive way. Family run - the receptionist is the latest in the family line. Excellent restaurant. Plenty of other options around (particularly the wine bar... More

We ate lunch outside overlooking Lago d'Orta, very pleasant, although on a busy crowded Saturday afternoon, the waitress was less than enthusiastic. Can't say I blame her, it was really busy. That evening, though, we ate indoors, and I had a plate of fettucine with tartuffi, and the waiter was attentive and generous with the shaved fungi. Delicious.

Stayed here for a wedding in July. We had a fantastic time. The windows in the bedroom opened out on to a shared patio area that overlooked the lake with direct views over to the island. We sat out there one evening and drank a bottle of prosecco. We only had the breakfast at the hotel which was fresh fruit,... More

We didn't stay here but we dined here during our stay on Lake Orta - we found the service food and terrace surroundings a delight. My wife had the lamb chops which were to die for and I had the veal chop milonese also wonderfully cooked. Both are sweets were also great we would thoroughly recommend the restaurant of this... We stayed here in July 2014 in the suite as we got married in Lago d’Orta. The hotel is beautiful, with almost all rooms looking out at the incredible views. The suite was fantastic for getting ready in with lots of space. Breakfast has everything you’d want with a choice of sitting inside and outside. We also ate here one... More

Quaint pleasant surroundings. However - our room was so small one of us had to lie on the bed if the other wanted to get to the loo! Even worse - I have never seen such a miserable bunch of staff in all my life - in particular there was 1 arrogant rude waiter who put us off eating there.... More

We are sad to leave after a superb 4 day stay... Room 201..overlooks the lake and isla San Giuglio...we had use of a large terrace, accessed from our room....the view is quite surreal...the staff are very well trained ,friendly, and helped us with various personal matters with great efficiency. This place has old world charm, but with all the modern amenities.....very nicely... More

Fantastic view from the terrace where you can enjoy a sundowner overlooking the lake and the charming island of Isola San Giulio. Rooms are ok, a bit strange to have a spa in the bedroom though and no shower. The staff was somewhat helpful, but their English skills could be better. The hotel has no assigned parking places and instead of... More

I have just come from a (horrible) holiday. I decided to take my parents to Piemonte and chose a day trip from Torino to visit what I had assumed to be an enchanted place - Orta San Guilio. The place although extremely quite and very empty in mid November did indeed turn out to be very spectacularly enchanting. But.... destiny... More
