Quaint pleasant surroundings. However - our room was so small one of us had to lie on the bed if the other wanted to get to the loo! Even worse - I have never seen such a miserable bunch of staff in all my life - in particular there was 1 arrogant rude waiter who put us off eating there.... More

We are sad to leave after a superb 4 day stay... Room 201..overlooks the lake and isla San Giuglio...we had use of a large terrace, accessed from our room....the view is quite surreal...the staff are very well trained ,friendly, and helped us with various personal matters with great efficiency. This place has old world charm, but with all the modern amenities.....very nicely... More

Fantastic view from the terrace where you can enjoy a sundowner overlooking the lake and the charming island of Isola San Giulio. Rooms are ok, a bit strange to have a spa in the bedroom though and no shower. The staff was somewhat helpful, but their English skills could be better. The hotel has no assigned parking places and instead of... More

I have just come from a (horrible) holiday. I decided to take my parents to Piemonte and chose a day trip from Torino to visit what I had assumed to be an enchanted place - Orta San Guilio. The place although extremely quite and very empty in mid November did indeed turn out to be very spectacularly enchanting. But.... destiny... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The small town is old and very charming and not too touristy. The hotel is charming too and located right on the lake, just off the town square. Our standard room was a nice size, clean and up to date, with a small balcony and a partial view of the lake. The staff was... More

We stayed nearby and out of all the eateries in Orta found this was the best. Traditional menu but food very well cooked and presented and excellent service in a superb location. Reasonably priced as well.

Professional waiter service on the lake front, for this reason I was wary about the quality of food we would be served being in the most touristic piazza in the town, but we were very pleasantly surprised. The tomato, aubergine and cheese pasta dish was smoky and sweet, and the tagliatelle with butter and freshly grated truffle was a treat,... More

We had 2 nights here and loved it. A lake view room with terrace was a wonderful place to relax and have a drink. No fridge as mentioned in other reviews but you can fetch a drink yourself from the bar. The evening meal is excellent on the terrace overlooking the lake. Wifi is not free but have lunch at... More

Top suite, de luxe, very expensive, wonderful view, but not a fridge in the room. So, if you wanted a beer, sitting on the terrace overlooking the lake, you had to pay 8 euros a go to get room service. No lift from the second to the third/top floor. No wi-fi either, unless you sat downstairs in the entrance hall... More

Mywife and i spend one night in this hotel. You can t find better position in town. You should ask for a room with a lake view to see the wonderful panorama. The rooms are clean with confortable but small beds. We had lunch at the restaurant and we can say that the food was excellent, just the dessert a... More
