We had a room on the first floor, that opened out onto a small patio. The hotel reflects its proximity to Milan with very modern furnishings and decor. Lots of modern art and artifacts scattered throughout the building. The hotel was air conditioned, which was very much appreciated during the heat wave we were experiencing during our trip. We like... More

We stayed for five nights at Hotel Santa Caterina in mid June. We booked in Januray for 100 euros a night but saw on another booking site a few weeks before we were due to go to Italy that rooms had been reduced and managed to get our 5 nights for €350 B&B. Our room had a balcony and was... More

We had to leave one day early and were charged a penalty of a full day's stay. In the restaurant Olina we were given a table for 4 (we were 2) and were not allowed to sit side by side as we are deaf. We were then taken upstairs to a table for 2, so why put us on a... More

The reception we got was very welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was convenient as it was at an easy walking distance from the town center and in any case cars weren't allowed in the center of the tiny town of Orta San Giulio. There is a car park at the hotel at extra charge but... More

The staff was helpful and friendly, but felt slightly misled in that the wifi was only available on the ground floor, not in the rooms. The location is a bit out of the centre, and although the walk is nice, if you're there for more than one day, gets a bit of a drag. Don't use the parking garage, as... More

I recently had the joy of staying at Santa Caterina. The hotel is funky and rooms very large and immaculately clean, its fun. It was a joy to go in for breakfast as the array of food was incredible even to the point of having fresh eggs for you to pop into a pan if you wanted but so much... More

This is a nice friendly hotel. It's quite quiet for Italy! And quirky. Away from the town but a lovely stroll in to the town. B'fast was really good. Loads of choice. It's great to see fresh fruit and good juice. Also you get soft drinks, tea, coffee and cakes after 3pm. What a treat. So nice. Plenty of seating... More

Arrived here after just over an hours drive from Malpensa airport, Milan. The receptionist was very efficient and pleasant and even though we were early, allowed us to check in straight away. We were advised of places to visit and how to get to the lake by walking. Which by the way was a pleasant 15 minute walk from the... More

exceptionally great breakfast buffet in Italy The rooms are clean, the breakfast is one of the best I ever seen and the best for a *** -hotel. The staff and the people in the village are very friendly with a sense of hospitality. The hotel is in 15 to 20 minutes walking distance from the historic centre with the restaurants... More

We visit this area in August each year and have always chosen Santa Caterina. We have positively reviewed this hotel previously and our views echo the previous reviewer from Bedfordshire. Well located, fantastic breakfasts and a a snack bar available afternoon and evenings. Friendly staff and the garden room was quiet and peaceful. In all, a good hotel which suits... More
