The staff was helpful and friendly, but felt slightly misled in that the wifi was only available on the ground floor, not in the rooms. The location is a bit out of the centre, and although the walk is nice, if you're there for more than one day, gets a bit of a drag. Don't use the parking garage, as... More

I recently had the joy of staying at Santa Caterina. The hotel is funky and rooms very large and immaculately clean, its fun. It was a joy to go in for breakfast as the array of food was incredible even to the point of having fresh eggs for you to pop into a pan if you wanted but so much... More

This is a nice friendly hotel. It's quite quiet for Italy! And quirky. Away from the town but a lovely stroll in to the town. B'fast was really good. Loads of choice. It's great to see fresh fruit and good juice. Also you get soft drinks, tea, coffee and cakes after 3pm. What a treat. So nice. Plenty of seating... More

Arrived here after just over an hours drive from Malpensa airport, Milan. The receptionist was very efficient and pleasant and even though we were early, allowed us to check in straight away. We were advised of places to visit and how to get to the lake by walking. Which by the way was a pleasant 15 minute walk from the... More

exceptionally great breakfast buffet in Italy The rooms are clean, the breakfast is one of the best I ever seen and the best for a *** -hotel. The staff and the people in the village are very friendly with a sense of hospitality. The hotel is in 15 to 20 minutes walking distance from the historic centre with the restaurants... More

We visit this area in August each year and have always chosen Santa Caterina. We have positively reviewed this hotel previously and our views echo the previous reviewer from Bedfordshire. Well located, fantastic breakfasts and a a snack bar available afternoon and evenings. Friendly staff and the garden room was quiet and peaceful. In all, a good hotel which suits... More

We arrived early in the day for our booking of six nights and not surprisingly our room was not ready. However we were given cold drinks and invited to park in the underground car park to make unloading our luggage easier when our room was free as it was an extremely hot day. We were then told that in view... More

This is a strange little hotel, that would perhaps be best described as a B&B instead. We had a glitch with our reservation, but it was promptly resolved- even if we had a long scary moment thinking we were out of a room to sleep in for that night. The rooms we got were extremely simple, but clean and well... More

We stayed at Santa Catarina for 6 nights, and it was pleasant. The breakfast was higher than normal Italian standard, and there was a untouristic beach within 5 min walking. The rooms were OK, even though we would have enjoyed the free wifi in our room. The walk to the city was nice, event though the first 20 meters is... More

This hotel is situated a kilometer away from the lake, so there are no good views. It was really hot, so we had to take the car to go in to orta San Guilio. The surroundings are poor, with no view to speak of. our room was OK, but strangely furnished, with a chandelier hanging in the corner! The staff... More
