i've stayed brefly at the san rocco hotel last summer (in june). a wonderful and peaceful day on the lakeshore (with a great swim in the beautiflly cold water of the lake) a great place, in a unforgetable hamlet by the lake shore, highly reccomended to anyone looking for a moment of recollection and peace

Very nice Hotel on ORTA lake. With good rooms & a very interesting lounge/Bar. Piano player for the evening and a nice pier on the lake. Beautiful view of the lake & S. Giulio's isle. All mod cons. In the centre town you don't need a car but you can walk around shops, bars and restaurants. max.

A favorite hotel of ours during our 3 week tour of Italy. This was an accommodation provided thru our October VBT Italian Lakes Tour (highly recommended). Of all the places we stayed, during the tour and after, we felt this was one of our favorites, if not the favorite. Staff was great our room was comfortable and attractive with a... More

We were told that we had been upgraded to a lake view room, but our room was dark and cheerless. There was a lake view if you leant out the window. Smokers congregated below our room, so meant we couldn't open the window. Many stairs to negotiate to get between floors, as the elevator was very small - enough room... More

The hotel is situated on the best location on Lake Orta with a head on view of the Island if San Giulio and its stunning basilica and monastery, ask for a room with a view of the lake. One nice feature is that it has an entrance on the "main" street leading to the central town piazza, a five-ten minute... More

Everything about the San Rocco was excellent: beds, rooms, dining, bar and pool table overlooking the lake. Swimming right off the dock in the clear clean lake is a special experience. Convenient location to the village.

This is a lovely set of buildings cobbled together over time as a single hotel, with a beautiful waterfront deck and pool (closed, of course, this being September, despite the sunny days). Someone spent some money on it awhile back, furnishing it and adding art, but overall it has an air of faded glory about it. There are empty rooms... More

I'd like to give 3 and a half dots above. Booked in for 3 nights to celebrate a milestone birthday. Suite Natura was excellent. Bit of water damage to the decor due to bad floods last year, but nothing to worry about. Spa out of use due to the same floods. Wi Fi rubbish, in and out. Fabulous floating terrace... More

this hotel offers all the trimmings. Very comfortable rooms, quiet, floating terrace on the lake, swimming pool beside the lake and a superb restaurant for dinner. We had mushroom trios, sturgeon with salted ice cream and zabaglione sauce, wild boar, to name a few. All were delighted with their choice and wines sommelier suggested some great wines.

We only stayed 1 night (but we wished we had stayed longer). The hotel is in a beautiful location with fantastic views over Lake Orta. We had a Classic room with lake view and balcony, and the view was suburb! (But the balcony was very small). The room was small and comfortable but minimalist (keeping in line with an old... More
