This is not a four star hotel, but a typical Italian three star hotel. Good location close to the old part of the city. Our room on the 3rd floor was quiet. Pretty small room. The bed was too short for me and I am only 180 cm tall. Very small bathroom. The staff is nice and understands English even... More

The location of the hotel is very good. The front desk employees and restaurant staff for breakfast were also very nice and efficient. The problem with the hotel are not the fault of the employees, but a function of the environment. My stay was during the middle of the week, and during the night there was a lot of noise... More

We have just returned from an extended tour of Northern Italy. We stayed in 11 different hotels, and the Palio Hotel was one of the ones that impressed. We wanted to see the famous Palio horse race and sent the hotel a lot of emails and requests beforehand, all of which they responded to in a friendly and helpful manner... More

Not particularly cheap and I probably got a bad day....air con not working at the start and construction/restructuring blocking the entrance. To park I was sent to a dungeon with poor lighting and very small dirty garage that you have to manage on your own - I don't need help but it is a 4 star and I was not... More

The entire entrance is a building site with everything that means. The bathroom was very poorly renovated and the room itself really needed a refurbish and the bed where not comfortable. The service was good and the rooms where clean but how this place got 4 stars is beyond my understanding. It is in reality more like 3. Location wise... More

Maybe best option in Asti where there aren't many hotels. In Italy a lot of hotels are never updated so they are sometimes shabby and outdated. We travel a lot in Italy because we have lived there and we are very fond of Italy. The Palio hotel is a modern hotel with tasteful rooms. Room and bathroom in excellent condition.... More

The Palio Hotel is one of the best options in Asti, Italy. Located at the best spot, close to the old town and the train station. In 2 minutes walk, you can reach virtually all places you need. A variety of piemontese restaurants, pizzerias, bars. Friendly staff and atmosphere. You have the option to eat in the restaurant Il Falcon... More

I stayed 3 nights (Thurs - Sunday). Hotel is very convenient in Asti to our two manufacturing plants in the region. Front desk personnel were very polite and helpful. Room is typical Euro style; 2 twin beds pushed together, desk, wall mounted TV, small bathroom and a shower. Breakfast food and coffee are good (heated milk is always a nice... More

The hotel was conveniently located downtown close to shopping and restaurants. Secure underground parking was available one block from the hotel. The room was clean and a good size and the rest of the hotel was very well maintained. The desk staff were pleasant and helpful and (with one exception) spoke English well. We would defintely stay there again.
