Perched on the top of a hill, located minutes from Asti's downtown, Villa Sampaguita is the perfect base to explore all the wonders of this beautiful and relatively undiscovered area of Italy. Tim and Rena could not be more hospitable and welcoming. The location, their outstanding knowledge of the region, Rena's superb cooking, the spaciousness of the apartments, all sum... more

The weekend we went to Villa Sampaguit the weather was lousy but nonetheless we had a very good time. We had the apartment so plenty of space with two little girls. When we just arrived Tim and Rina brought us into the kitchen served us some wine and offered some delicious left over risotto for the girls. They are very... more

Villa Sampaguita is first of all the welcoming atmosphere made by Rina and Tim who are the perfect hosts og touristguides to experience Asti. If you go by car, just ask Tim. He will guide you through every singel "rotatoria" (there are many!) with his homemade maps. The Villa is beautiful, peaceful and has a lovely terrace ouside every room... more

We had a fantastic stay with Tim and Rina for 3 nights in October. Tim is very helpful planning your daily outings and Rina is gracious and quite gifted in the kitchen. Out of all of our B and B stays throughout our 2 weeks in Italy and France, Villa Sampaguita was truly our best "find"-just what we were seeking... more

My husband and I chose Villa Sampaguita on the basis of wine - our favorites are Barbera d'Asti, Moscato d'Asti, Barbaresco, etc. and Piedmont abounds. Little did we know that Villa Sampaguita would provide us with an experience that had so much more to it than fantastic wine. (But make no mistake - the wine alone, including that produced at... more

VS is a lovely inn in the hills outside Asti. Tim and Rina have done a great job making the place comfortable and accommodating, with spacious and modern rooms, nice public spaces, and wonderful hospitality. Tim is a font of local knowledge and will gladly suggest (or even arrange) local attractions, ranging from winery visits to truffle hunting and restaurants.... more

We spent 3 nights at Villa Sampaguita and hated to leave. Tim and Rina are terrific hosts. They gave us great help and suggestions in exploring the area and finding wineries. Rina is a fabulous cook. I would highly recommend a dining in on at least one night of your stay. We loved the breakfasts, too. Our stay here felt... more

I could write at great length, but others have done so and they are all correct. The Villa is comfortable, welcoming, and charming. Rina is a great hostess and makes a wonderful breakfast. Tim is a gregarious raconteur and a fount of information about the area. Being able to use my laptop in our room was a pleasant surprise. We... more

Stayed with friends in the well appointed two bedroom apartment for a week in August. Villa Sampaguita is located just outside Asti and a car is necessary if you are to take advantage of the many adventures that proprietor Tim is keen to organise for you. His recommendations were invariably excellent with restaurants, wine and cultural visits providing us great... more

We stayed for 4 nights at Villa Sampaguita at the heigth of the truffle/wine season while travelling with our 2 very young kids (2,5 yrs / 3 mths). We enjoyed our stay very much, mainly due to the outstanding hospitality and friendlyness of the hosts Tim & Rina. They did everything possible to make this a great trip for us.... more
