This hotel is ok if you are looking for something cheap yet close to central milan. Do not expect a great standard - very basic and needs renovating. Definitely not a 3 star hotel but it's got a bed and shower and that was all we needed.

I was yelled at "yes yelled at" by a young chineese man for taking an apple up to the room from the meager free breakfast counter, he must have been related to the owner since he did this with complete impunity. We were made to feel like a nuisance everytime we came back to the hotel after a wonderful dinner... More

In need of a short term bridge between arriving in Milan and a rented apartment, I chose the most affordable option in my desired area. The service is fine, nothing special, but sufficient. The hotel rooms are small, but sufficient. The wallpaper is starting to peel off the walls, the rooms are slightly dirty, and the walls are paper thin.... More

We had a prepaid reservation at another and due to a “mistake” by that hotel we were sent to Hotel di Porta Romana that was supposed to be comparable. This hotel, Hotel di Porta Romana, was operated by some Chinese where the staff spoke limited Italian and English. The hotel was located on a busy street and had seen better... More

I visited Milan for 10 days and stayed at this hotel for 2 days after which i shifted to another hotel for the rest of my. They charge Euro 105 per night. This is a old construction run by guess some Chinese people. Even the room service and cleanup staff were chinese. The rooms are very very small, you can... More

We were sent to this hotel because another hotel refused to honor a reservation. We are at the stage of life where we select middle-of-the road hotels, with some amenities, so this hotel did not suit us. However, in my younger and less affluent days, Hotel di Porta Romana would have been perfect. The room was barebones, but clean, large,... More
