I do not understand how this hotel can be rated a 4 star. I would give it one at best. I stayed for one night with my family and, this is by far the worst hotel room I had slept in. The walls were scratched and dirty. The carpet was really stained, in fact filthy. The kitchen really old and... more

Mum and Dad, son and daughter in law Orkney/Oxford We stayed here for 3 nights the first week in December. We had arrived by train from Rome and it was a short metro ride from Central station. Check in was simple with pleasant, helpful staff. The 2 lifts are tiny but work well. A beautifully decorated tree was welcoming in... more

Having seen the other reviews, I think we ended up in one of the old rooms not the refurbished ones. Yes it was massively out of date, but the room was huge. The breakfast though nothing spectacular was above average, the rooms were spotlessly clean and the staff attentive and personable. The price was reasonable (£119 a per night with... more

I booked this hotel based on a lot of the reviews on tripadvisor and I am glad i did. Yes the decor is dated but who can judge on decor of a hotel? I judged this hotel on services which were all brilliant. The check in took no time at all and from that point everything just carried on perfectly.... more

Arriving at the hotel it was a joy to find a garage with plenty of space. The staff is friendly and speaks english quite well. We got a room with a view to the main road but noise wasn't a problem even though I feared this. The additional child bead was allready in place and there was reallyh NOTHING to... more

We really enjoyed our short stay at the Romana Residence. The hotel itself is situated not far from the city centre and is decorated excellently. The breakfast also was far from a disappointment; a veritable feast! The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. Overall a brilliant hotel and an experience I would recommend to anyone. more

This was the last night of our holiday in Italy, and as we were flying out of Linate the next day I wanted something fairly central and not too expensive. On balance, this hotel got mostly good reviews so I went ahead and booked. I must say we weren't expecting much, but when we opened the door we found we... more

I rate the advice given on the Tripadvisor site very highly and it has helped me a great deal in the past. On this occasion, however, we discovered a completely different hotel to the one described by previous visitors. This place is a struggling 2 star setting itself out to be a 4 star and failing miserably. On arrival, none... more

Dear Sir, we are so sorry that you didn't enjoyed at Romana Residence Hotel, you couldn't satisfy your request because on that period we were fully booked and we didn't have any no smoking room on an high floor, at the same time all the rooms with view are junior suites and suites. We showed you one, but you didn't...

We stayed at Romana Residence for a quick shopping getaway in December. The rate was good compared to what else I was able to find (80euros including breakfast). The room was fine and the kitchenette would have been handy if we'd stayed longer - though the room would have been quite small if we had stayed longer than 1 night.... more
