If you're looking for a place to spend a few nights in Milan, Hostel New Generation is ideal. It is just 2.5 km from Milan Central Train station and may go quietly on foot, walking about 10 minutes. The hostel is super comfortable, clean and organized, possessing kitchen, laundry, elevator and electronic games as well. You receive pillow and blanket... More

So i read all the negative comments in here and i thought it may be exaggerated until the moment i tried my self (i ignored it bcs of close location to evwrything and some nice pictures). If you ever book here manage to not have a bunk bed in second floor as they do not have side protections and you... More

Milan is pricy, especially during expo and I am too old for a dorm, so I thought this NEW GENERATION would mean something good for me, I booked a twin and from the pictures online it looked like a modern clean neat room, pretty much what I would have expected from a modern simple hotel. Instead we got a room... More

The place is close to the Metro (Turati) and walking distance from multiple attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The WiFi was a bit slow inside the rooms, but pretty good around the reception area. The staff were friendly and assisted me with my travel plans.

I wish we could give this a 0, pretty much the worse place we have ever stayed. About the only thing it has going for it is the location which is only a 5 minute walk to the metro stop. The staff seem desperately unhappy which isn't surprising, given the environment they are working in and the 'rules' imposed by... More

Visited Milan with another 3 of my friends. Booked for 4 persons and we got the whole room of 4. Walking distance to many attractions and Duomo is one of it. Room was clean. You can cook in their kitchen if you want, but with very limited cutlery. The bed was too small. Kind of dangerous if sleeping on the... More

Ok, I didn't expect the place to be awesome but it had a very un-welcoming feel, let's start with pros coz I m a positive person 1. Clean rooms 2. Excellent Wi-Fi Cons 1. In friendly environment. 2. A member of staff kept checking on us 3. Too many rules, too many fines. 4. No atmosphere to meet ppl, it's... More

Before I made a reservation there I knew that it wasnt the best, but I never thought it would be the worst. They give you sheets and blankets and you have to put them on beds. If you want to leave your luggage in the luggage room after you check out ( because you still have time in the city... More

I didn't enjoy my stay in this hotel. The staff is fine (not super-nice but not rude either), the location is good (close to the metro), but the rest.. is not good enough. Our room was super-small and even though there were lockers in the room, everything else you had to pay for. They gave us linens, but the blankets... More

Staying in Brera

Neighborhood Profile
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
