this hotel is in a great spot. very modern and comfortable. the department store directly opposite has a great food hall on the seventh floor for a quick bite or stock up on supplies.another great local place to stop is the local bakery at the end of the street called luini. worth a stop. it can get very busy. followed... I love staying at this small boutique hotel, the location is just right in the middle of the city, very close to the famous Duomo the Cathedral. Across from the hotel there is a trendy department store, they have a food area located at the very top of the building which is on the 7th floor. It is quite handy... More

What a great find this was! Last minute booking and we were off to Milan for the first time! The location could not have been better, just a few metres from the Duomo and famous Galleria. Having arrived at Milan's famous Central Station on the Freciorossa (fast train) from Firenze, we were anticipating something chic. We were not disappointed! Not... More

There was no internet working in the hotel....and no explanation of apology. Construction noise was LOUD. Sunday night the Straf Bar was overflowing and NOISY. Careless service and POOR Design in the bathroom. Faucet leaked and water overflowed from the shower.

I was pleasantly surprised that the location was even closer to everything I wanted to see and some excellent shopping. The rooms are of an edgy decor that I thought was so much fun after staying in so many hotels that I can barely remember since they all look the same. My daughter is grown but if you happen to... Booked room 605 for arrival on September 8, 2014. This is the top floor and there were only 2 other rooms/suites on that level. The suite was big. Modern artwork all on the walls. King size bed with TV in the sleeping area and another TV in the living quarters. Nice table and chairs in the living quarters too. We... More

When minimalist hotels succeed they are inspiring because they show you something you have never seen before. But when they fail they really grate on the nerves. The Straf unfortunately has elements of both. Its hard to find fault with the construction of the rooms - particularly the wide doors and the walls which have some kind of half finished... More

Stayed here again because of the location. However, noticed that the service has not improved and the room we had was very shabby. The whole place felt tired. We also got the room at the end of the corridor next to the renovation next door. Jack hammers starting at 7.30am! When we asked to change they said they were full!

We spent one night at the Hotel Straf on our way out of Italy. The hotel itself is clean, very modern and "sleek." The design of the hotel is very unique and interesting, but we found the hotel to value more form over function. We can appreciate the beautiful design, but when it takes you 20 minutes to figure out... More
