Excellent Hotel, Staff are really Cheerful and helpful. Love the décor and have revisited this hotel several times and hope to in the future. The bar is great craic and plenty of atmosphere, good place to be 5pm to 7pm.

honestly one of the worst hotels I've ever been in, the hotel is so bad, it's laughable. You could feel the springs in the rock hard bed, and through the thin pillows. over night you could hear the drunks from the bar downstairs, and the entire hotel looks like they literally just stopped halfway through construction as a cheap way... This is a really cool place to stay. The location is excellent and the breakfast is good too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. As soon as you walk in to this hotel you be impressed. The style and attention to detail is very good. Also went to the bar which was easily accessible and very trendy!

Straf Hotel is located in the middle of Milan, 50 m from il Doumo. With its unique design, great staff, good bar and nice atmosphere makes it one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Milan. Inside/outside the bar is a great spot just to hang out and have a glas of prosecco, drinks or a Peroni. Trust... More

Liked the Straf, since a) it's right where the shopping places are b) the staff of the Straf is very helpful and friendly c) I like the metallic-dark-chic-discreet atmosphere Even though I like its design a lot, the bathroom is not very practical lighting-wise; it is difficult to apply discreet "war paint". Breakfast buffet and à la carte breakfast are... More

If Bunker Chic is your thing, then Hotel STRAF is your place. I'd probably echo the other trip advisor reviews that the décor takes itself a little too seriously. The room isn't super comfortable, but the location is exceptional. We also really appreciated the assistance from the concierge in making last minute dinner reservations. It is steps away from everything... More

Not a particularly enjoyable stay. Design of room and toilet was created around making the place to look cool, artsy fartsy, minimalistic and not functional. Heavy door at the room entrance drags at the bottom, creaking and screeching from abrasion on floor, and needs a great amount of strength to open and close. One would think it should be an... More

We decided two spent two nights at this hotel before Christmas. The hotel is very well located and only 50-100 meters from the Duomo. However the quality of the rooms are not perfect (our door didnt work and when you shower in the bathtube the bathroom gets very wet). In addition, when we checked, we were welcomed by an unfriendly... More

An industrial design, facing la rinascente and il duomo. Rooms are 'raw' like a statement you would expect from Milano. Honestly everything is really nice. For breakfast, the selection is quite 'raw' as well.... Could do better and this would be a super hot spot in Milano

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
