The Bernina is in a very good location, breakfast is good and more than enough, the room is very clean - of an acceptable size - bathroom was very clean also, a bit tiny. What bothered us was during our first day, there was no warm water at all and no one bothered to give an explanation or apologise. We... More

We love the Bernina Hotel and have stayed here twice before this visit. It is a very welcoming Hotel and this is evident when checking in. We upgraded our room and were very pleased with its location. The location could not be beaten as it is central to places where we enjoy going to. Lovely friendly staff. Would recommend this... Close to Milano Centrale station and on a relatively quiet street. Our room was next to the antique elevator and entry to our room was a little awkward with baggage. Poor view. The room itself was tiny and the TV access from the bed was also a little difficult. Very firm bed was not to my liking. Shower was very... More

Ok, here we are then....I visited this hotel for the last 10 years many times when I am staying in Milan. Very good location, quiet and clean. unfortunately the last years, I preferred another hotel next to the Bernina. Although I made a reservation 3 months in advance, I couldn't find any rooms available. So, I returned to the Bernina,... More

This is a simple hotel, with simple rooms, with a simple breakfast, that will do job for a short stay. Friendly staff and very well located (2 minutes from station centrale) If you want a pool, a 3 miles of breakfast and a runaway to put the car...this is not what you are looking for, but too visit Milan with... For the price you can't beat the location. It is walking distance from Central station (both the Metro and the train to the airport and beyond). It's very convenient if you're out and about in Milan. If you are the type of traveler that doesn't spend much time in the hotel this will work for you. It's a 3 star... More

At first, I was sad that I could not stay at my first choice of hotel in the area that I had stayed at before. But, I was very happy that I found the Hotel Bernina. Not only did they offer a Milan Expo rate, but the hotel was perfect for what we needed! The staff is very nice and... More

I would highly recommend this hotel. It's very conveniently located not far from the railway station. The service is great. All staff speaks English and is very helpful and attentive. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money.

Hotell Bernina has exactly what I expect from a three star hotel, nothing fancy, but everything is clean and whole. Two things stand out; the first one is the bathrooms which are large and clean and offer a variety of toiletries and lots of towels. The second thing is the waitress in the breakfast area who will make you as... More

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighborhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
