Located in a nearly perfect location to Milan's most important sights. Within walking distance to the lively Brera area. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious, well maintained and very clean. The fridge in the room was a little noisy and disturbing during night. Overall a very good value for your stay in Milan. The breakfast was ok for Italian... More

The Antica Locanda dei Mercanti is located in a very central area, close to the Duomo, Brera and the main shopping areas of Milan -- no need to take the metro / trams to explore unless you are going further afield. I've been to Milan a couple of times previously and never stayed in such a convenient location. Our room... More

We picked this hotel because of the reviews but sadly were disappointed. Whilst it is an interesting 300 year old building, it has a cold entrance hall at ground level, the hotel is not well signposted and it has a tiny 2-man lift so is not ideal for large suitcases. The hotel is within a building which houses other apartments... More

Why stay in Antica Locanda dei Mercanti? There are many reasons. For example, the hotel is located in a historical building on a quiet street that is conveniently located to the major sites and many cafes and, indeed, shopping if that is the purpose of your visit to Milan. Our room was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed with what appeared... More

Let me start this review by saying, we have travelled a lot, and stayed in umpteen hotels, this was definitely one of the best, and we wished we never had to leave. THE SUITES ARE LARGE and spacious, with a seperate living area, and some have a sofa cum bed at a 50 euro charge. The high celings and the... More

You will find Antica Locanda on the peaceful street in the centro storico and only few steps from via Dante leading to Duomo. We had a very spacious and beautifully decorated room with two french balconies in this beautiful old building. The location is fantastic and almost everything in the walking distance. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We stayed... More

We booked this hotel because of the terrace attached to one of the bedroom suites. A rare treat in the centre of a busy city centre. We were not disappointed and enjoyed the airy, large bedroom and the magnificent terrace. The quirky hotel location and layout adds to the experience and the staff could not be more helpful. A great... More

Because we were only able to spend one night in Milan, we picked this hotel because of its proximity to both the Duomo (a short walk away) and the express train to the airport. It is a lovely place. Our room had a perfect terrace on the third floor that immediately inspired us to put together an al fresco dinner... More

With only a small brass plate alongside the entrance to an entrance shared with flats and offices this is quite difficult to find.Once up to the first floor reception however it turns into a smart boutique hotel spread over several floors. Our rooms on the third floor were small but had generous balconies.Location is very central and walkable of most... More

This is a charming hotel in a prime location of Milan. This is close to the main streets, metro, the duomo, the Brera district and restaurants. It's also nice not to feel like you are in a typical, big hotel in a major city, but all the modern comforts are readily available. Wifi worked great, breakfast was lovely, service was... More
