Great hotel and more than that great location. It was our first time in Milano and this location was really surprising - many restaurants and bar and very romantic by the river. The hotel room was very clean and modern with nice bath.

We spent a couple of nights at this hotel with a colleague during a business trip. The hotel is located in an exciting neighbourhood close to the canal. The rooms are spacious, even though a little bit worn out. The breakfast is good. Staff is friendly, only minus is the old fashion room keys. All in all can well be... More

Art Hotel Navigli is a very comfortable hotel in a very nice environment. We visited Milano before but Navigli was new to us. What a nice quarter with lots of restaurants and bars. Only a few stops by tram to the Duomo. The hotel offers a garage for parking and breakfast is great! We booked a room for 4 but... More

Renovated art deco hotel, located in a very animated area, from canal banks. About 10 mn walk from Metro ( M2/ green line, porta genova) and 20 mn walk from center ( Domu). All was ok, welcome desk, nice drink at the bar was offered with small buffet to test italian specialities, hotel and rooms quite well renovated. Room size... More

You're visiting Milan? Than stay at the Art Hotel! Even not located in the old city, you will enjoy the area around the hotel. The Navigli with his canals is in the evening the best placee to go out - a wide selection of restaurants and bars in walking distance. The hotel self is in a good shape, although you... More

Perfectly situated in the lively area below the Porta Ticinese this hotel offers modern, functional rooms decorated with taste. We enjoyed quiet nights in very good beds, well regulated air conditioning, a pleasant breakfast buffet and attentive service. And they even offer a welcome drink!

I was happy to stay in this stylish neighborhood in Milan but ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIED by the way I was treated after my 2 day stay on the way to Milan Malpensa airport. The drive was 45 minutes long and the company the hotel contracts the car service to had us with a driver who was INCREDIBLY SICK. He was COUGHING,... More

I am the owner of Art Hotel Navigli and I was obviously HORRIFIED by this review. I immediately convoked the driver and the booking manager of the Company that provides us with taxi-shuttle service, to and from the Airports (by the way, the prime limo service in Milan). Well, the driver looked O.K. to me, but to be on the... More

The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean and sufficient. The hotel itself is more modern in common areas. Staff is helpful and professional and friendly enough. Good breakfast buffet with juicer to make fresh pressed veggie or fruit juice. No views to speak of. Quiet and located very convenient to the entire Navigli area - a trendy waterfront... More

The hotel is pleasant, room is spacious and very clean. Bathroom with big size bathtowels and nice little soap/shampoo things. Location is excellent - walking distance from vibrant life (restaurants, wine bars, etc). Close to metro stop. Had a GREAT time.

Arriving late in the evening, the GPS navigator sent me straight into the pedestrian area. I thought I was in a wrong place, but after a left turn I saw the hotel sign. The reception was kind to ask for my license plate, not to be fined by the municipal police. A good start, I would say. The check in... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
