I was happy to stay in this stylish neighborhood in Milan but ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIED by the way I was treated after my 2 day stay on the way to Milan Malpensa airport. The drive was 45 minutes long and the company the hotel contracts the car service to had us with a driver who was INCREDIBLY SICK. He was COUGHING,... More

The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean and sufficient. The hotel itself is more modern in common areas. Staff is helpful and professional and friendly enough. Good breakfast buffet with juicer to make fresh pressed veggie or fruit juice. No views to speak of. Quiet and located very convenient to the entire Navigli area - a trendy waterfront... More

The hotel is pleasant, room is spacious and very clean. Bathroom with big size bathtowels and nice little soap/shampoo things. Location is excellent - walking distance from vibrant life (restaurants, wine bars, etc). Close to metro stop. Had a GREAT time.

Arriving late in the evening, the GPS navigator sent me straight into the pedestrian area. I thought I was in a wrong place, but after a left turn I saw the hotel sign. The reception was kind to ask for my license plate, not to be fined by the municipal police. A good start, I would say. The check in... More

Efficient and competent staff: check-in and check-out were a breeze. Stayed one very hot summer night, but room was very quiet, even with the air conditioning on. Breakfast was good, with a variety of food and beverages. TV with plentiful international channels (BBC World News, Channel 4, CNN, German movie channels…).

We have been at Art Hotel during 2 nights, nothing to say: perfect! the environment is great (near tram, bus and the city (30minutes by walk and 10 minutes with tram; lot of bars the nights) and the hotel was quiet, clean and people are kind.

Stayed here for a weekend while visiting some friends living in Milano. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and very helpful. The hotel is located a short short walking distance to the nighlife scene of Navigli and the cozy waterways. The hotel is although located in a quiet sidestreet. Breakfast was good and had a good selection. It`s... More

Stayed here 2 nights. 2 rooms. Nice rooms roomy by European standards bathroom also, although I still do not understand the 1/2 glass panel for a shower door. Hotel is in a good location for bars and small cafes and one of 2 canals left in Milan is down the street. Fun but not zooy in the evening. About a... More

The hotel is not much to look at, but is actually very nice inside. Rooms are clean, roomy and well-pointed. Breakfast is great. The hotel is in a trendy part of the city, approx 20 min walk from the center.

This is excellent for business or pleasure, the hotel is in a good location with many eating places and is about 10 min walk to the tube station. Free breakfast and wifi. The hotel provides free drink and canapés early evening. God pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and well serviced

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
