My girlfriend and I got this for £20 each per night and £1 flight so it was cheap. Hotel was nice, room was decent size loads of toiletries and a nice bathroom. Staff were pleasant enough on reception. The hotel is a bit out the way, but not too far if you can use the public transport which is easy... more

Service was well.. average! The room was noisy, smelled like a sigarette, tv was not working correctly and so on.. Probably the best thing was, that it was clean and the hotel was near to the subway. more

We walked to the hotel from the Southern end of the city so it's not that far out. The staff were helpful and the man who ran the breakfast bar wasn't surly at all and the breakfast was fine with a range of choices and freshly made cappuccino on request. The rooms were very clean. If you turn right out... more

If you're visiting the San Siro, or don't mind spending a bit of time on the city's excellent and cheap metro system this place is excellent for the money more

We stayed our last night in Milan at the Lido hotel. Was a little concerned because our first night cost us 95 euros at another hotel that gave us the worst room possible - noisy and damp. What was 62 euros going to get us? I needn't have worried. The road leading to the hotel is really busy so I... more

I picked The Lido because of its proximity to the the San Siro, as going to a game there was the main purpose of our visit (20 min walk or one stop on the express bus from outside McDonalds). Get off the Metro at Lotto and it is about three or four minutes walk to the hotel.(walk around the island... more

The Lido was a quick metro ride (1 euro or a day pass for 3 euros) away from Milan's main attractions on the red line (Castle and Duomo are also on the red line). From the metro stop, it was a short 5 minute walk to the hotel. The room was clean and tidy. The a/c worked very well. Breakfast... more

Milan's hotels are not 'budget friendly', but this hotel offered & delivered value for money. I stayed at the 'Lido' in early March 2007. This is probably the cheapest 3* hotel you will find in this city & i wasn;t disappointed. The external look of the Lido is very basic but the interior decor is very much up to standards... more

We only stayed here for one night (because it was booked up) and arrived late in the evening, however the room we were given (room 101) was dreadful. As soon as we opened the door, it absolutely stank of stale cigarette smoke. We knew that most hotels in Italy allow smoking but this room was particularly bad. We could not... more
