My wife and I stayed here over a long weekend, and the room was clean with lots of space for each of us. The breakfast was ample enough to get you filled up before you left in the morning, and they were there to give you anything you needed. Service was amazing, and the location is right next to just... Stayed here for one night before traveling onwards to Lake Garda. This was the first hotel we found, after parking in the basement multi-story a few minutes walk away. It does have a lift so good for my friend with walking difficulties. Hotel was very basic but comfortable. Hotel reception were helpful, but the hotel itself was quite expensive for... More

The location of the hotel is excellent - only a few minutes from the Duomo and the Metro/Tram lines. The rooms are clean and the WiFi reliable. But.... the beds are not comfortable, the breakfast is pretty bad (but the coffee is good!). The bathroom is a disaster - the shower head in my room was so old and calcified... More

I know European hotels are very different from those in the U.S. but this was a pretty bad experience. It seems that other people may have had a better room than I received. This is a typical European hotel although my room was particularly dingy and dark. It did not seem very clean, but again it was difficult to tell... More

Visited hotel for 2 nights, breakfast was very poor- only croissants, youghurt ,tea, coffee, nuttella (no bread, no fruits, no cheese, no ham, nothing) juice machine does not work. very very poor for 3 star hotel. regarding bathroom, it is soooooo small, that was very uncomfortable to take shower, it is so small, so if you're more than 155sm, weight... We stayed for only one night but was very comfortable. The room was large and clean. It was a llitle hard to find but i think that the reason is that in general the streets of Milan are not too easy to follow and found. We stayed for only one night but was very comfortable. The room was large and... More

I want to start out reminding US travelers that the "STAR" system in Europe is different than what we know or expect in the US. So if a hotel ranks itself a 3 star, expect only a 2 star (US) equivalent. The hotel was a little hard to find but once we did it was very easy to get around.... More

We chose this hotel because we were staying for a few nights over New Year's and wanted a place that was within easy walking distance of major attractions for a decent price. When we arrived, the room was definitely smaller than expected based on some pictures here, but since we were only planning on being there for sleeping, it was... More

This hotel has an excellent location for the centre of the city. We use it when going to the opera and it is in walkng distance to Cadorna railway station for Malpensa airport and not too far from the main two railway stations. As with many older city centre properties, it is small. Some of the bathroom sseem like a... More

this budget hotel is a great value in expensive Milan. It is a little worn around the edges, but is in a great neighborhood and 10 minutes to the Duomo. There are only Italian TV channels. Mohammed was a great help with translations. The coffee lady made a great cappuccino and gave me Italian language lessons. The breakfast was OK.... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
