this hotel is not a 4 star hotel, according to the hotel standards that we all have in mind. BUT it is a very well located hotel 200 meters from Duomo. This advantage makes it a modest proposal for someone who wants to visit Milan and especially a tourist. Breakfast is fine. Personnel is friendly, wi fi connection fine too.... More

We stayed in August 2015, with our teenage daughter. Our room was large, the bathroom was super, the A/C worked great, the staff was helpful, the breakfast was delicious. There was just nothing wrong with this hotel. The location was a few blocks from the Duomo, which we liked, because it was away from the noisy crowds, but still close... More

Plus 1 is location – about 8 minutes to Duomo and Vittorio Emanuele Gallery. The room is spacious, with a bath tub. The rest is below average: no cleaning (all they did was to replace the towels and do the bed), scarce breakfast, unfriendly staff. Receptionists helped with buying a ticket to La Scala and printing the boarding pass, but... More

Am still staying at the hotel, unfortuntely for another 2 nights. Bed average, clean average, aircon noisy, safe not working, decoration to be changed! No iron is given, and you have to pay 5€ for the service for 1 shirt !!! And when I asked for a complaint book, they don't have one... I have to stay in Milan for... More

Stayed here for two nights. The rooms are OK, not on the large size but just OK in size. The beds were a little hard for my taste and did not sleep very well. The location was amazing, so close to Duomo which is a major tourist spot. However, no noise at night. Breakfasts were a little limited, however you... More

Great for the city traveler. Walking distance to many historical landmarks, museums, and shopping. The beds were comfortable and the noise minimal up on the 4th floor. There was a spacious balcony, but no chairs to enjoy the view. The staff was friendly.

Stayed there on July 2015 for 7 nights. Was worst hotel I ever stayed in due to the followings 1- no proper AC and weather was hot. They do no efforts to help 2- rude staff and uncooperative at all. Specially receptionists 3-dirty room and were uncleaned properly most of the time. On day I uncover bed sheet to put... More

Stayed here for business, but in my opinion the hotel is better suited for leisure. Perfect location for visiting the landmark cathedral and shopping, dining in Milans city centre. Simple but sufficient breakfast buffet and well appointed rooms.

Located right behind the duomo in the central shopping district, Hotel Ambasciatori is placed wonderfully. The staff were friendly, the reception was beautifully decorated and the included breakfast varied and delicious. However, the room I stayed in was outdated, with a safe that didn't open, wifi that didn't work and no hot water in the old style shower. For what... More

Location couldnt be better - the side door opened onto one of the shopping arcades and was only 2 minute walk from the main square. We travelled by car so the journey into the city centre was interesting with all the traffic, especially the mopeds, but it was relatively easy to find. Parking was a slightly different matter - due... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
