Pleasantly surprised on all accounts. Great hotel in great location within walking distance to all sights. Quiet neighborhood and quiet room. Classic hotel with beautiful marble staircase, hardwood, great mattress, etc. Staff was very friendly and helpful with the typical great Italian sense of humor. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel. Also - centrally located amongst top fashion shops.

We stayed 3 nights Thursday to Sunday. The hotel was very nicely appointed and so convenient for the shops and attractions. Just 5 minute walk to Duomo plaza. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Even the sofa bed was reasonably comfortable (we had a suite room for three people). The reception staff very helpful, they gave good recommendations where... More

It's a very nice looking hotel but not worth the price. Nothing is included in your stay. It's noisy and wifi doesn't work very well. For a 4 star hotel I would have expected better service. All you are paying for is the location nothing more. Other hotels with the same 4 star rating at least included breakfast.

Good hotel in the central high end shopping district. Nice rooms with nice bathroom. Comlementery chocolates is a nice touch. Good breakfast and make sure to try the prosciutto. Free wifi. The initial lobby doesn't do the rest of the hotel justice. One minor gripe is that the don't provide ironing equipment to the room and you have to rely... More

We chose the Hotel Manzoni as a convenient, comfortable, quiet place to stay as we first arrived in Milan from our overnight flight from the US. We could not have made a better choice. From the time we first walked through the door until we checked out, everyone at the hotel was extremely gracious and helpful. We stayed in a... More

Just returned from 3 nights in Milan. We loved Hotel Manzoni. The location is absolutely amazing - in the hear of the shopping district, walking distance to the Duomo and surrounded by the most fashionable shops, streets, etc. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and nicer. The front desk people were pleasant and happy to make reservations or recommendations.... More

We loved this hotel. It is in a perfect location in the heart of Milan – surrounded by fashionable arcades, shops, cafés and restaurants and a short walk to the cathedral and La Scala. The hotel has loads of charm. It is light and bright, fresh and clean. Our room was small but charming and well equipped with all the... More

Steps from Via Montanapoleone, this property makes it easy for shoppers and fashionistas to make a quick exit from the hustle and buzzle a few hundred feet away. Rooms are smallish, but I guess not different from most hotels in the Italian fashion capital. But they are well-equipped, especially with a spacious bathroom, a work desk near the room's entrance,... More

This is a very nice hotel on a quiet street in the heart of the fashion district. It's quite elegant but not stuffy. My room was small (as expected, since I booked a single) but was wonderfully presented. I went there for a one night stay for business. I have to admit that the location is ideal, right in the centre of the city, in a very calm street. The rooms are clean and quite big for Milan (which make sense as the price is quite upscale). The breakfast is good, although nothing amazing. Last but not least

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
