About 9 years ago, my husband and I were skiing in Zermatt and frivolously decided to hop an express train to Milan for a day. We had no reservations and asked the concierge at the Swiss hotel if she knew of any places. She recommended the Gran Duca di York. We were so delighted with our large room with a... More

This hotel is a related property to the Hotel Spadari, which I have stayed at on a previous visit. This hotel is in a fantastic location, close to the Duomo, yet very affordable. You can't beat the free wifi and mini bar! The breakfast is plentiful and the staff very friendly. This has to be one of the cleanest hotels... More

Reasonable hotel, centrally located. No real issues. They had helpful staff. Small bar downstairs. Not really luxury class but it's fine. Free wifi is a nice touch and also free soft drinks in the minibar.

It is only minutes from the Duomo. The bed and pillows are comfy. The room and the bathroom are a nice size and they were clean. There was a small make-up mirror in the bathroom too. There was a medium size tv with a decent amount of channels (all Italian). The hotel is beautiful. There is a mini fridge that... More

The rooms are small but very nice. There are free refreshments in the minibar. The bathroom is a nice size and modern. The only reason I can't give five stars was that the rooms were too hot. I asked the front desk and they told me that since it was October the AC had been switched to heat and could... More

This is a really fantastic hotel. For the price, the location cannot be beaten, it's a 5-minute walk from the Duomo and major shopping areas. It's also very clean and comfortable. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable. The service is generally excellent. I was surprised it was a 3-star hotel because of the high standards. Just a few caveats/tips... More

Stayed at this hotel 2 nights and was very pleasantly surprised, the staff was very warm and welcoming, it is centrally located ,with very nice rooms, clean, and spacious for European hotels. Would highly recommend, and also would recommend the Viator tour to see La Scala and Davinci's Last Supper. Excellent guides and tour.

Nice place and good location. Pleasant and helpful staff. I had a nice room with a balcony with outdoor seating etc. Problem is the AC was off in October and the room was very warm at night when it was closed up. There are no screens on windows ,so I left the balcony door open and closed the slotted shutter... More

I took two train trips to arrive at the hotel, the express from the airport to Cardona station, then from there metro to Corducia. The hotel was only a few minutes walk from the train station and busy roads. The two hours or more spent on looking for train stations, buying tickets and asking for direction etc really became part of... More

Elegant small hotel with charming staff and good attention to detail, in a great location just a short walk from the Duomo. Cannot comment on value-for-money as usually stay for work and bill is settled directly by the company. Rooms are not huge but big enough and beds are good quality. Breakfast is standard Italian fare but the pastries are... More
