I really enjoyed my stay at Gran Duca di York last week. The hotel is really cosy and in a great location for the cathedral and the shopping area. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here on business or for leisure. It's an easy bus trip (and short walk) from the airport for only 1.5... More

Stayed for two nights in this neat little hotel. Location is very good, within walking distance to most major sights. Staff was very kind and the lobby is fantastic. Lots of nooks and crannies decorated in a hodgepodge of high Italian style and a coffee shop/bar where you can get a quiet drink while waiting for friends or escaping from... More

Great little place just blocks from the Duomo, LaScala and shopping!! Staff wonderful. Breakfast fabulous. Just book it and you will be delighted if you like a small type of boutique hotel. The front desk staff gave us several recommendations for restaurants near by which were very good and fairly priced.

I have just returned from a two night stay at this hotel and was so sorry to leave. It is a fabulous little gem if a hotel, lovely helpful staff, good buffet breakfast, perfect location, decent size room, all spotlessly clean. Would definately return and would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

I relied on all the reviews from Tripadvisor to select this hotel for a four-night stay. They were accurate and very insightful. I was initially a little concerned that the street may be dark at night but it is in fact very safe. The location is absolutely perfect for accessing the most visited sites of Milano. The staff is more... More

Love this small and conveniently located hotel in Milan. Though centrally located, it's away from the noise and crowd. The staff are all courteoue, very helpful and attending to guests' needs. Excellent price considering the location and the perks (free breakfast, wifi and minibar).

We like this hotel for its great location, its very clean rooms, its very friendly staff (housekeeping staff in particular) and its amazing value for money. An excellent address that we should not share....

A very nice clean hotel with good service in Milano. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel is in a great location for exploring the centro storico. On our last morning at this hotel a staff member who ended his shift took the time to help me find my way to Malpensa Airport-I followed him in my rental car. That... More

Stayed four days over the New Year Holiday. Hotel is centrally located and tucked away in a side street, which makes it quiet and easy to get to places of interest on foot e.g. La Scala, Duomo, Last Supper, Castillo etc. Lots of shopping and transport also close by. Hotel is super clean and well appointed. Rooms are smallish, but... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
