We found this hotel very accommodating. Our daughter was in a rowing event north of Milan. We stayed at Gran Duca di York over the eight days and took the train out to the event. Since we were there for a long stay they threw in a single room for our daughter at no charge at the end of our... More

I was really looking forward to staying in central Milan, but if I had to do it over again, I would stay in a more interesting neighborhood. A lot of the local restaurants are closed on the weekend, and it seems to be in the banking area. it is very convenient for the Duomo, and that was nice, but the... More

Nice hotel in the center of Milan but far enough off of the busy streets and the Duomo area to be relaxing. Within walking distance of everything in Milan. Continental Breakfast was plenty, and bar was small but nice. Perfect for couples. Do ask for a non-smoking room if possible. Staff was friendly, courteous and helpful.

Typical European decorated room with all amenities and modern bathroom. Walking distance to all things. Staff can’t do enough for you. Good breakfast, Free WI-FI and AC. Front desk is very helpful and will make great restaurant suggestions and will make dinner reservations for you. Recommended

Hotel Gran Duca di York is centrally located. It is walking distance to sightseeing and shopping areas. It is in a safe and quiet street. My family and I occupied 3 rooms at the hotel. The hotel itself looks much better in person than in pictures. The lobby and sitting areas are much larger. The art on the walls of... More

Quaint little hotel about 4 blocks from Piazza del Duomo. Few rooms, quiet street and very helpfull staff. the breakfast brunch is good. Rooms are comfortable and include wifi. We were surprized by how close we were to the Duomo and hos quiet our little street was.

A very good location for exploring the city. A little difficult to find, but OK with SatNav. There is no parking at the hotel but a member of staff drove the car to a local car park. We had to pay £30 for one night - far too expensive. There is one disabled space in front of the hotel which... More

We stayed for 3 nights in this excellent hotel and were amazed at how quiet it was given that it is within 5 minutes walk of the Duomo and Centre of Milan. All the staff were friendly and the reception staff were excellent. The free mini bar with water was especially appreciated, as was the free wifi. There are plenty... More

We stayed here in 2010, & it was excellent. We came back in 2014, & it was again excellent. Such a perfect location, great rooms, superb staff. Alberto at the desk was so very helpful, & Alessandro at the morning buffet was wonderful - not to mention the excellent food choices, especially the scrambled eggs!

A small beautiful antique looking hotel in the center of Milan, located within a short walk of the pedestrian only area of via Dante and the Duomo. While in the financial district the neighborhood was very quiet. The rooms were great and furnished in an antique but comfortable style except for the very modern bathrooms. The staff was extremely helpful.... More
