This was our last stop in a 2 1/2 week trip through Italy. We were warmly greeted by Alessandro. The hotel is in a grrat spot: a very quiet street but only a few short blcks from the Duomo and the shopping. Our room was very clean. It was a nice treat to have the warer/soda/juice in the mini bar... More

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at this lovely small hotel. The location is fantastic! A short walk and you are standing in front of the Duomo. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do in our short stay (another visit is really necessary). Our room was very clean, we had a comfortable bed. The... More

We decided to visit Milan for our wedding anniversary as we had traveled extensively through Italy in the past but never visited Milan. We booked the hotel after checking reviews in Trip Advisor. A quiet, well appointed and very comfortable hotel in a quiet street 5 minutes from "Il Duomo" with an excellent shower ensuite. A good breakfast is included... More

Location: Very centrally located hotel. It is less than five minutes walk from the duomo, and thus quite a few restaurants and shops nearby. I traveled with a friend, and we spent all our evenings in other neighbourhoods, because there is not a lot of bars or pubs close to the hotel. But it is easy to travel by subway... More

We spent two nights here on our first visit to Milan and loved the excellent location, just a few short minutes from the Duomo area yet in a very quiet location. It also was close to some very nice restaurants, and it was an easy lovely walk to our pre-reserved visit to the glorious DaVinci "Last Supper" (worth all the... More

Wonderful experience for first time in Milan. Walking distance to everything. Quiet cobblestone streets. Small rooms but not a problem for us. Showers excellent especially for my tall husband! Peck Deli around the corner was a real treat; watching the locals buying their fresh pasta etc. we ate lunch upstairs in the restaurant. Amazing pasta.

Marvelous location. The staff was very helpful with restaurant suggestions,"Last Supper tickets, and any general questions we had. We found the hotel to be very clean and our room was a nice size.this will definitely be our hotel in Milano. The concierge in the evening-don't remember her name-short dark hair-was extremely helpful with wonderful restaurants and even wrote out directions longhand.

Good value for money. For me a good central location and very friendly staff. This is a hotel that has been there a very long time. Stayed there many years ago. Obviusly it has been upgraded - but tastefully so. Recommended

I stayed here 10 years ago, and was happy to return and find it in the same condition, the same quality of service. My only suggestion would be to book directly from the website if you are traveling as a single person, as those rates were not available on Expedia (or likely other travel websites).

I've stayed twice now at the Gran Duca, and enjoyed both stays. The Gran Duca is not a fancy place, but it's clean and has all the necessities. The two rooms I stayed in (even the single room) were decently sized and rare for Italy -- had good-sized bathrooms. A nice touch is the free minibar with bottled water and... More
