our 6th hotel in 2 weeks in Europe. Least satisfactory. Staff blasé, unhelpful, rooms absurdly cramped compared with other 3 star places we have been. Room smelt strange - I think maybe a smoker had been in it, and large amount of airfreshener used to saturate the curtains. Or it might have been lack of airing. Killer was an airconditioner... I stayed two nights in this lovely hotel which location is perfect! It's close to main touristic attractions and shoppings. The room was small but cosy. We had our own shower but the toilet was on the corridor. Room had AC which was needed.

This hotel has perfect location in city center of Milan. It has very tiny rooms and ours did not have toilet, it had huge wardrobe instead which felt like waste of space and could have been replaced by toilet. Staff was friendly and some of them spoke good English.

Paid £500 online for a 4 night stay twin bed. The place was shocking. The decor is older than old, just horrible looking throughout the whole hotel. The cubicle where the toilet and sink is so small you simply cannot turn around and the shower is just the actual unit itself. The staff is rude and hardly speak any English... More

This hotel is highly recommended for those visiting Milan. It's in the heart of Milan - very close to Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, Castello Sforzesco and just a few minutes walk to Metro. The lady, Licia is very friendly and always smile. We arrived early that the room was not yet ready but she was so kind to let us... More

This hotel is in a great location, smack between the duomo and the sforza castle. Great restaurants and shopping nearby. Within walking distance of the train station for the malpensa express. The rooms are tiny, dated, and with the smallest bathroom I have yet to see in a hotel. Was fine for one night, but I may feel a little... More

We needed a centrally located hotel for a one-night stopover in Milan and London Hotel was perfect. Just a five minute walk from a metro station (about a 15 minute metro ride from the central train station), it is just a 10 minute walk to the Duomo, major shopping, and many other sights. About a 15 minute walk to Santa... More

Considering my friend and I booked for 4 nights during Milan men's fashion week, we got an absolute bargain at London Hotel (about €7 cheaper per night than the Milan average). Despite not paying much, we were really happy with all our experience at this hotel and will absolutely be back. The online booking made it very clear that the... More

A disappointing stay. We stayed in a room with no restroom in the room. The only bathroom was a communal one down the hall. Though clean, the room appeared old. The windows were completely gated up with no view and the room smelled of cigarettes. My wife and I were also wary of the requirement of leaving the key at... More

It is close to everything the Domo and the Galleria as well as many great restaurants and outdoor cafes. We arrived early from the airport and our rooms were ready for us. We had private bathrooms as well.Loved this hotel

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
