Pro - good location, close to Duomo and the city centre - quiet street - 24h reception - high ceilings Contra - the tiniest shower we had ever seen - a bit worn out and sometimes not very clean - paper-thick walls (we heard TV in the room 2 rooms far from our) More

This was definitely a good hotel for the price you pay. You get a great location, very close to both Duomo and Parco Sempione and the castle. I had a single room with the balcony out to the silent street Rovello, which was great! The breakfast was very limited, BUT you can have a freshly made coffee/latte/cappuccino, which I liked... More

It's a budget hotel in a five star location...literally yards from the Duomo (about the only attraction in Milan!) Rooms are airless and old. bathroom effective but basic. Aircon wholly ineffective. We got bitten to death by mozzies in one of the outside restaurants - cover yourselves up and spray... More

Very well sited: right in the centre, near the main tourist sights; 1 minute from top-end pedestrian shopping, 5 minutes from the castle, 10 minutes from Malpensa Airport Express station. Stuff unfriendly and unhelpful at times (depending on who is at the reception desk). Smallest shower facility and smallest elevator I have ever seen. Internet only worked for 1 hour... More

This hotel is a perfectly adequate basic 3 star. It is clean and warm (perhaps too warm) with friendly helpful staff and an excellent location. The breakfast is basic but the rolls and croissants are freshly baked. The rooms are tiny but some of the previous grumblers should realise that you get what you pay for! More

This was our final stop after visiting Bergamo and Como in a week long break. Our first two hotels were 4 star and beyond compare with this miserable excuse for a hotel. We found some of the staff friendly and helpful but they could never make up for the sheer cramped, dingy , tatty and unpleasant interior of the room... More

This hotel is in a great location, but the rooms are tiny and the bathroom I had was very mouldy and dirty. Most of the staff were not particularly friendly or helpful, and this hotel has the smallest lift that I have ever seen. There is enough room in it for two people or two suitcases, but not both at... We spent 2 1/2 weeks in italy in various hotels and this was by far the worst. We wer greeted by an unfriendly clerk. the room and bathroom were dirty. the "double bed" which was two twins spushed together (which we knew was in most hotels in italy) had a huge space between the two twins so it was extremely... We had very unpleasant experience with This hotel during our trip to Milan in March 2005. Regardless of the fact that we had a confirmed reservation for two adults and one child, the hotel manager refuse to put a room for us with one double bad and one bed for our daughter. After troublesome negotiations their force us to pay... More

BEWARE: Never Again! I just completed my 49th trip to Europe -- I've stayed in nice hotels, I've stayed in fabulous hotels, and I've stayed in disgusting hotels ... but the Giulio Cesare is the absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the rudest hotel clerk I've ever met. My room was tiny (not... More
