Location is good if you want to stay near the historical Central station, however it is far away from the Domo and touristic places, but it is close to the underground. Room was fine and so was the service. Enjoyed my stay there, however this place would be adequate just for Business travelers.

Stayed in this hotel for a few days with my family in July (15). This is a old lux style hotel and does not meet today's requirements and standards. If you can you should avoid, you will find a lot of better alternatives to a much better value for your money.

This hotel is located in the business district and not really within walking distance of the Duomo or the Gallery. It is however close to the train terminal. the neighborhood is less than ideal and would make me think twice about returning to this hotel on a vacation. The hotel itself does show signs of age but nothing that isn't... More

Overall, this was a decent hotel to stay in, but note that on foot it is about half an hour's walk to the Duomo and the main shopping area (ok if you are not carrying heavy shopping bags) +Professional, courteous service (albeit a bit slow) +Ok location if you're driving into town, as it avoids most of the narrow crowded... This is wonderful hotel with great staff that took care of all our requests from the type of room we wanted to a late check out. Everything was made easy. The hotel has very ornate rooms, the junior suite is spacious and has all the comforts that you would expect, coffee machine, docking station for your iPhone, iPad etc, a... More

We just stayed here for 2 days. Checked into a room and when the elevator opened up on our floor you could immediately tell the air was not working properly. We had a nice room comfortable size but the air was terrible. It was too warm. I am asthmatic and could not stay in this room. The hotel offered to... More

Dear Cheryl S, We would like to reiterate the apologies we already offered directly for the air conditioning issue you experienced. While the aircon was actually working, it is obvious from the experience you reported that it didn’t succeed in cooling the room enough from the heatwave that was gripping Milan during your visit. We are sincerely sorry for that... More

Dear Accarpi, We are truly sorry for failing to provide the relaxing experience you rightfully expected to find at a Westin Brand hotel due to the renovation works that were going on at our restaurants. Though this is no justification for the inconvenience caused, we limited work activities to the central hours of the weekdays, the presence of workers on... More

We chose this hotel for a two night stay because it was the only affordable property offered in AMEX's FHR program. If you book through FHR, you will receive free breakfast for two, an 85 Euro meal credit toward dinner/drinks, and a room upgrade subject to availability. We received an upgrade to a room I can only describe as palatial -... More

I stayed at The Westin Palace in Milan for three nights for a personal vacation meeting friends, before heading on to Lake Como. The Westin Palace is conveniently located near the main train station in Milan, but tucked away in a lovely neighborhood on Piazza Repubblica. It's very easy walking distance to central Milan, shopping restaurants, La Scala and the... More

The rooms were nicely decorated and fairly spacious in European standards. The front desk, concierge, housekeeping all had good command of English and did not run in to any communication problems like I had in other parts/hotels in Italy. Despite being the peak season of July with Expo ongoing, the price was reasonable at a bit over 200 euros. It... More

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighborhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
