The hotel lobby was grand but once I got to my non-smoking room it smelled like smoke. Even the sheets and pillows had a strong smell of smoke in them. Beware, if you need to iron, there is no iron or ironing board offered or available for use at this facility as stated to me "due to fire hazzard risk"... more

Not sure why others have moaned about the location, this hotel is great value if you search the net we paid £289 for 3 nights b&b and the location is a bonus for traveling out side Milan and into Milan center due to public transport, Metro 2 mins away ., 8 stops, 8 mins and your in the center. We... more

The Melia Milano was a perfect base for my wife and I as we explored Northern Italy. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the neighborhood location was a convenient 10 - 15 minute taxi ride to Milan's city center. We always enjoyed coming "home" to the Melia Milano and getting away from the crowds. Lake Como, Venice, and the Italian... more

This is a very opulent hotel with a grand entrance hall and rooms that match. Location wise it's a bit out of town, but there is a taxi rank around the corner and an underground station a few minutes walk away. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. My biggest gripe is the controller for the lights which is ridiculously... more

This conference hotel did not seem interested in assisting tourists. Location is somewhat out of the way, but still accessible by Metro. I was not impressed with the staff at all during the stay. One in particular seemed bothered to help us find directions, and we had to request simple amenities 3 times before they were delivered. The hotel is... more

Excellent hotel, the rooms are overly decorated, staff are very helpful, a small supermarket just around the corner as subway stop into the city is only 5 minutes walk.... The ride only takes maybe 15mins to The Duomo. Its a great base if you dont want to be at the centre of the action. The seafood restaurant over the road... more

My partner and I stayed at the Melia for just two nights, and it was a nice stay. We stayed in a deluxe room, which was quite large, and had a nice big balcony (albeit with no view). The room itself was nicely furnished and the bathroom was really pretty. Only minus was the lack of amenities in the bathroom.... more

This hotel is a convention hotel and should be listed as that! It is not a luxury 5 star hotel....it is your typical 3 star hotel with bad linens and out dated decor....the area nothing in the area....1 restaurant in accross from the hotel...and 1 a block away that was empty.....very disappointing....hallway alarm was going off....finally they sent a repair... more

My stay at the Melia Milano was just fine... * I was traveling on business and would only recommend this hotel for those staying on business as well. * I guess technically this property is in the center, but it's still at least a 15 minute metro or 20 minute taxi ride to get to the Duomo (for example). It... more
