We choose the hotel because of its location and we not disappointed - it is less than 5 min walk from the train station. The room was clean and big enough, the bathroom was huge. The reception staff is nice and helpful.

Hotel Monopole is just a block from the train central station in Milan. You can get anywhere in the city by train or bus there. The hotel itself is neither new, nor in the lap of luxury, however, it is clean and comfortable. There were 27 in our party and the staff was very hospitable and professional. In addition to... The best part of this hotel is the location. We stayed for two nights, it's good but basically you're paying for the location. The main train station is like 5 minute walk away also the metro is nearby. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and breakfast places. The windows are completely shut with steel so you will not be able... More

Very close to Centrale station, no shortage of restaurants around it. General cleanliness was good. We got upgraded to the superior room & great hotel service overall. Wi-Fi internet from our room was excellent.

This is the only review I've ever written for a hotel. This is more of a warning. The WiFi here is very poor. Between the hours of 6pm to 1am you will be able to access WiFi but only in one minute windows before having to log back in. This is more frustrating than it sounds. Staff are helpful but... More

Dear Guest, we are so sorry that the poor wi-fi access made you so frustrated and made you give us such a poor review ... We know that for some people internet access is a priority and we are sorry you couldn't use your devices as you expected to. We experienced a problem with wi-fi ( unfortunately it happens sometimes)... More

Probably was not good idea to arrive on Halloween night at around midnight :-), the hotel is bizarre on its own, not to mention on this night. They have some renovated rooms, but used some strange glue or something which have made strange smell in the room. The layout of the hotel is a big question mark. So overall experience... More

Dear Guest, thanks for your review! We don't know exactly what did happen on Halloween night :) Did anybody came to do trick or treat? After your complain we managed to change some of the refurbishment that caused the problem you pointed out. Actually was not the glue, but the smell of a specific syntethic leather that was used to... More

This hotel is located within a few minutes walk from train station. We had a quick stay in Milan so suited us. Our room on the 5th floor was dated and could do with an upgrade, in saying that it was very clean. Apparently upper floors have been refurbished. Hop on/ hop off bus stop was just across from train... More

On the seedy side of the train station near some dubious establishments. Traveling with friends and booked a double and a single at the same time as my wife was to fly out that night. Due to the weather her airport bus was delayed and she missed her flight. She came back to the hotel and the clerk made her... More

As my trip ends in Milan, I chose to stay very near to the train station so our baggages are not tad a "burden". Monopole strategically fits the bill. Once out of the train, you go down to the ground level still within the station & head towards the right (walking past Zara). You ought to see some people hawking... More
