This is a very basic hotel, near central station but the area is very dodgy. It was my one time in an Italian city where I didnt feel safe. So solely base on location, particularly if you are planning to stay in Milan a long time, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The hotel is basic and the price exorbitant. The... More

I stayed at a number of single rooms while in Italy. This was one of the bigger ones. Good size shower. Air Conditioning works well. towels are a bit on the flimsy side, but that is only down side, It's quiet. Staff is super helpful. We wanted to buy bus tickets to Malpensa, which they sell. They advised us it... More

We stayed at Hotel Garda for 2 nights. The hotel is located right outside of Milano Centrale. The hotel itself is very clean. The room we stayed in seemed larger than average compared to other European hotels. I'm not sure if this is the case with all rooms. We had varied experience in customer service. Our bellhop was very helpful.... More

I read the other reviews and this is what makes travel fun. Everyone has a different experience. Try even a little Italian and the staff is wonderful. High marks to them. I had a single room (203) and it was plenty big for me. As others have said, the beds are “firm” but I had just finished flying and I... More

Very convenient if you are traveling by train, however there were other problems. The air conditioner didn't work because they don't turn it on until May. It was a very warm night in April so we opened the windows for a while but that let in the mosquitos. The Wifi was 5 euros for each person/device which we paid but... More

I stayed at the hotel for one night because I was leaving for Malpensa the next day. It is a five min walk to Milan Centrale. The woman at the desk was helpful with providing me with a map and the route to the Duomo. The room was clean and had a decent size. The bed was a bit hard... More

Stayed here one night on our way from Rome To UK. Convenient location and short taxi ride to Porta Garibaldi train station. Also a short easy ride on the metro into Milan city centre.Comfortable bed, decent size room. Reasonable selection of bars, pizzerias etc nearby for a quick drink and meal.Served our purposes as we were away early the next... More

When we left Hotel Garda, I wasn't particularly impressed. nice enough, but a little worn. It was comfortable, though not particularly quiet. My daughter described the shower curtain as "like the Maginot Line--it's there, but it's not going to hold anything back." Indeed, we flooded the bathroom with every shower. It's very convenient to Milano Centrale rail station. Average, but... More

We booked the Hotel Garda at the last minute and by reading the reviews I thought it would be a good hotel plus it’s close to Milan’s railway station which is a bonus when you have luggage. We were there for two nights Saturday and Sunday night. When we checked in on the Saturday there was a young gentleman working... More

We stayed for two nights im Milan following a cruise that ended in Venice. We chose the Hotel Garda as we arrived by train from Venice and wanted something close by the station. The hotel is just a short walk around the traffic circle in front of the train station, and down a side street half a block. The hotel... More
