When I arrived at the central station I was please to see the Hotel Garda is just across the road which is about a 3 minute walk. The reception was bright and clean and the receptionists was very helpful. I was 2 hours early to check in but they found me a room straight away. My room wasn't luxurious but... More

Needed a place to stay for New Year's Eve and got a great price for one night. The hotel is close to the central station and easily accessible to the city centre. The lobby and entrance are well kept and tidy and check in was efficient. The public spaces were fine and the rooms were as well except for we... More

We stayed at this hotel in December 2015 with our teenage daughter. The hotel has been nicely renovated and the triple room was a good size for three people. The heating worked well, and the hotel room was clean. The bathroom was a good size, with a large corner bath. The bath plug was broken, and when we spoke to... More

Nice hotel, nice room, nice reception staff. The localization is very good for travellers because is very close to the Milano central train station and close to the Milano sighseeing bus stop number 7 (Turistic red bus). Also is very pratical to take the shuttle to Milano airport.

I booked this hotel for 3 nights, it is impossible to sleep since you can hear EVERYTHING from everywhere, you can hear the guests on the next room, when they talk, walk, flush the toilet, snore anything, noise from the street is terrible as well. The only good point is the distance from centrale station.

Location is great as it was near to the Train Station. Many ristorante and eateries around. We ended up always at Turkish Halal Kebab because it was halal. Easy to find. Service staff were friendly and helpful. Thank you Hotel Garda!!!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Hotel Garda for one night, since we were flying out of Malpensa. It was super close to the train station. It's a budget hotel, but clean and had a very nice bathroom. The room was basic and a bit dated, but great for the price. I would definitely stay there again. It... More

Had a one night stopover in Milan, hotel is less than 5 mins walk from Milan centrale station and excellent for the price. Staff was helpful and courteous and also helped us plan our trip around Milan and has luggage storage Would highly recommend if you are on a budget and need something close to the station

The bathroom in my room was okay (May have been refurbished recently) - this and the proximity of the hotel to Milano Centrale were their only saving graces. The interior was dark. The carpet was very old, very stained and had an odour. The bed was hard. Pillow bad. The TV did not work until I called Reception to have... More

.....this is where the pleasant part of our review ends. We stayed two nights in what hopefully is their worst room...very odorous bath...coming from the floor tile drain..the odor overtook the entire room. Airing the room out helped, but we had to ask for more help, which we received promptly...something substantial poured into the drain...after which we had to keep... More

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighborhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
