When we left Hotel Garda, I wasn't particularly impressed. nice enough, but a little worn. It was comfortable, though not particularly quiet. My daughter described the shower curtain as "like the Maginot Line--it's there, but it's not going to hold anything back." Indeed, we flooded the bathroom with every shower. It's very convenient to Milano Centrale rail station. Average, but... More

We booked the Hotel Garda at the last minute and by reading the reviews I thought it would be a good hotel plus it’s close to Milan’s railway station which is a bonus when you have luggage. We were there for two nights Saturday and Sunday night. When we checked in on the Saturday there was a young gentleman working... More

We stayed for two nights im Milan following a cruise that ended in Venice. We chose the Hotel Garda as we arrived by train from Venice and wanted something close by the station. The hotel is just a short walk around the traffic circle in front of the train station, and down a side street half a block. The hotel... More

Hotel Garda turned out to be a great hotel, very, very close to the Milano Centrale train station. I took photos of the room, but they are identical to those already posted. I had one of the single rooms, with red-striped wall paper, which wasn't as garish as I thought it would be. It actually looked very nice. Tall ceilings,... More

The price and location did the job for us. It's small, it's Europe so get used to it. We were able to walk from train station to hotel no problem and from there to all the attractions. Would stay here again.

I booked Hotel Garda for five nights in December. Although reviews were good I was slightly worried as I paid so little having booked through a third party. My worries were unfounded. The hotel does everything well without (of course, for the price) being luxurious. They divide their rooms into economy and other, I had an economy room and it... More

The hotel itself is fine. Clean, easy access to the station, elevator, decent size rooms. And the staff was friendly. However, one staff member was so very helpful to me, and I'd like give him recognition for his work. His name is Ioannis. I left my cameras in the hotel and he was a significant help in getting those back... More

We chose this hotel because it was recommended in the Rick Steve's guide for being a clean and comfortable spot near the train station. That is exactly what it was. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and it was very close the the train station and also the metro, which makes travelling around Milan very easy.... More

If you are just passing through Milan and travelling by train, this hotel is in a great location. It is clean and the staff is nice enough. If you choose to pay extra for your room, breakfast is included. There was nothing special about the hotel room, very basic. Double bed = two twin beds pushed together (which we found... More
