I stayed at Hotel Garda for one night, wrapping up a 2-week solo trip throughout Italy. My flight home was early in the morning so I wanted to stay close to the train station so I could easily catch the shuttlle bus to the airport. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and nicely decorated. But my single bed was very... more

We stayed at the Garda for two nights as we headed down through Italy and back to Rome for our deparature home. We would not hesitate to stay there again ... it is so close to the station and also just a few steps to the underground for travelling round Milan during the day. Its very nicely presented, in a... more

For 50 Euros per night, this was good value and clean. Staff very helpful. Nothing spectacular, but for that price, just great more

If you're considering this hotel - it must be because you need to travel by train from the central station. And for that, this hotel is excellent. Everything else is ok, and not any more than that. Rooms are small, and the street noise will wake you up early in the morning (good if you need to take an early... more

We had only one night in Milan. Coming into town by train and leaving from Malpensa so we wanted to minimize hassle. The best thing about the hotel was the location, about 1.5 block from the train station, otherwise i would avoid it. The rooms feature this odd wide striped wall paper and have tiny bathrooms. The tv was about... more

I was very surprised to read the positive reviews I just read on this site because they totally contradict with the awful experience we had at Hotel Garda in Milan. Even the pictures I took of the room are different than the charming romantic room posted on the hotel's main website. Following are the details of our experience: 1. The... more

The price and location were both good for me as I ended a 10 day trip of Italy. Close to the train station (especially fortuitious as there was a transportation strike the day I left so I could walk to station), 2 McDonalds, an internet cafe, restaurants. If you're up for a walk, it's a healthy 1/2 hour to Duomo... more

The excellent location (next to the Stazione Centrale) and its proximity to the metro line made Hotel Garda a good choice. Further along, the nice and helpful staff made it even a better choice. But what made it a great choice was the room itself: large, clean and with a very big bathroom (also very clean). The breakfast was also... more

We spent a few nights in this hotel in March 2008 with 4 of us. It is very-very close to the train station, but we could not see the usual bad faces around ... ok, some of them, but we did not feel scary at all, the area is much more safer then what you would expect from the neighborhood... more
