I booked Hotel Garda for five nights in December. Although reviews were good I was slightly worried as I paid so little having booked through a third party. My worries were unfounded. The hotel does everything well without (of course, for the price) being luxurious. They divide their rooms into economy and other, I had an economy room and it... More

The hotel itself is fine. Clean, easy access to the station, elevator, decent size rooms. And the staff was friendly. However, one staff member was so very helpful to me, and I'd like give him recognition for his work. His name is Ioannis. I left my cameras in the hotel and he was a significant help in getting those back... More

We chose this hotel because it was recommended in the Rick Steve's guide for being a clean and comfortable spot near the train station. That is exactly what it was. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and it was very close the the train station and also the metro, which makes travelling around Milan very easy.... More

If you are just passing through Milan and travelling by train, this hotel is in a great location. It is clean and the staff is nice enough. If you choose to pay extra for your room, breakfast is included. There was nothing special about the hotel room, very basic. Double bed = two twin beds pushed together (which we found... More

Close to centrale station but not that near to other major attractions. However, there are a number of decent nearby restaurants. The room looked old, but it was clean and spacious. There was no heating available when we were there in April (still quite cold) and were told it was the same in every other hotel in Italy. The staff... More

The first day of my first visit to Italy and what a way to start. Antonio, Roberto, and Pasquale were so helpful and accommodating! They continued to assist with suggestions for directions, meals, and entertainment. These gentlemen understand Italian hospitality. The room was very nice and clean. The property has some age to it but it is maintained well. This... More

Stayed in a comfort double room-Room 304. Had a 10% discount via Rick Steve's book-need to email hotel for code before booking. Wonderful location-about a 5 minute walk from Milan Centrale Station. Room has bulk toiletries-hand soap & shower/body gel, safe, shower only, no washcloths, breakfast not included in rate, extra pillows, blankets, a/c, tiled/remodeled bathroom, mini-fridge, full length mirror,... Chose Hotel Garda based on location near Stazione Centrale. 5 minute walk. We arrived at Linate airport and took the ATM shuttle bus to the train station and walked to hotel from there. Arrived at about 7 p.m. after a long day of flying from the States, grabbed a quick bite to eat in the area and then retired for... More

Stayed for 3 nights on 3rd floor. Room was adequate and convenient to train station and metro. Air conditioning had been turned off for the season and the only way to cool down the hot room was to open the windows. With the weather being warm and humid, this let in a lot of mosquitoes, and by morning I was... More
