Like in the wonderful movie of the early 2000, Goodbye Lenin, you feel ashes back to the (CCCP) 70ies, the moment you pass the door. Old furniture, low lights, poor breakfast, grey reception service. In one word: depressing. Wifi works well.

Reasonable price in a very good central location for sightseeing, shopping, dining. Good breakfast to start the day. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff - especially regarding EXPO, Airport and Exhibition options and public transport to/from the above. Big hotel service in a friendly, almost family environment.

Nice and central location. Polite and helpful personnel. Room and halls are ok. Convenient bicycle parking rack in front of the hotel. Useful and amazing to visit the city or to commute to business appointment (if it's not raining, of course). I can recommend this hot that is good value for money.

Location is excellent. Tram stops just outside. Metro station 500m away. Great street for shopping and eateries all lined up. Hotel not worth 4 star. Nice small cosy place to be in. But not luxuriuos enough to be a 4 star.

Easy walk to the duomo or to the navigli and darsena and friendly staff, but a fairly dated hotel (that 70s style, tiny elevator, carpet, ...). It doesn't feel like a four star hotel, but they did offer a good price for the stay...

Not worth 4 stars hotel , is one or two stars a maximum. The room is very small and very fetid stink . The A.C not working well besides higher noise really you can't sleep in the room .....................................

Very friendly hotel close to the Duomo with reasonable prices. Only slight issue is the street noise and in particular the rumble of trams on the nearby lines (and they seem to run throughout much of the night!).

Just opened after a renovation-large room well decorated, wifi in reception and just about in bedroom. No bath, very powerful shower, 10 minutes from Duomo. But you may find it noisy-it is a city centre hotel and the trams do make a lot of noise!

Writing this from my hotel room with a lovely comfy big bed! Great value for money and 5 mins walk from the Duomo. Wonderful staff. We requested a room with extra bed for my 5 year old and were given a interconnecting family room (2 bed, 2 bath) which is fantastic and very roomy. Would definitely stay again!

I stayed in Hotel Carrobbio for 5 nights and I loved it! The staff was very kind, my room was tidy and everything worked perfectly. I also had a balcony in my room, which was nice! The cleaning lady folded my clothes every day :D BUT: The breakfast was not affordable. It was too expensive, rather grab a breakfast from... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
