I had stayed in Auriga before, having a pleasant experience. The hotel itself is an interesting one, having a 20's style and theme. It seems that something has gone a bit south. A/C noise was loud during the nighttime and, in a non-smoking room, there was an ashtray on the table. Bed is very good, wi-fi so-and-so. I think that... More

With mouth wide open, I gladly say that hotel Auriga is a plesant suprise for 70euro online booking. Nice comfortable 4 star, nice and warm receptionist. But the Wi-Fi is still not connecting, it gives even though their is about 5 Wi-Fi line. But I believe it is worth the effort, tomorrow heading to Rome, I will give you reviews... More

I was only there one night before my flight out of Milan, but it was a surprisingly nice hotel very close to the central train station. There is a bar, lounge and restaurant inside. The lounge has a tv. Breakfast was included with my room and was a traditional buffet. A bit on the pricey side for me though.

This is a regular city hotel, a little older, in good repair and solidly built with 24 hour reception, windows that open, a small safe in the room, wake up calls and a bar. Room was large and comfortable, with nice beds and a very nice bathroom. Breakfast was great with pastries, cold meat and cheese, hard cooked eggs, fresh... More

Was kind of a grand, older style hotel, which when you travel a lot and stay in lots of modern hotels is quite nice for a change. I liked the decor and location within a few minutes short walk to the central station is fantastic. I would certainly stay here again. Air conditioning in my room didn't work, but I... More

This hotel has a great location! Very near the central train station, just about 2 blocks easy walking distance. There are restaurants located nearby, and we had 2 memorable dinners at Il Tavolina, a restaurant a block down from the hotel. The hotel room that we had was clean, enough space for 2 persons, comfortable, bathroom was a good size.... More

As part of a train trip through Italy we wanted hotels within walking distance to the main train stations - Hotel Auriga was a very good choice for Milan, About 5 minutes walk, the hotel was clean and everything worked well. Whilst a bit of walk to the main sites, such as the Duomo, it ticked all the boxes

Hotel was very close to the train station and several restaurants. Nice location and nice hotel. Leaving the hotel and turning right to go to various restaurants, please note that there were several homeless people sleeping on the side walks. Just keep going straight then cross over at the traffic light. Lobby was nice as were the rooms. Staff were... More

Really easy to find. Once you get out from central station , you can see the sign. Nice staff, nice breakfast. Although the hotel is so old, but everything in good condation, clean , and neat. Due to the location is value for money. Ask for higher floor room. Since I get the room on 1st floor, I still can... More

This is a perfectly reasonable small hotel, perhaps a little tired, but right beside the station in central Milan. Overall the rooms were good value @ €160 + €10 taxes and perhaps the shower could do with an upgrade. The convenience factor outweighs any defects, provided you are travelling from the station.

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighborhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
