very comfortable and clean. Close to train station was a plus. breakfast was good. all staff extremely helpful. elevator, room service -a plus. Has an a/c that is effective. Everywhere else we stayed in Italy, we were sweating at night while the a/c was on. The décor was not modern but that did not matter. For us, a clean place,... More

We arrived in the dark at Milan Central station and it was useful that the hotel was only a few minutes walk away. We asked for a quiet room which we got, and the air conditioning was reliable keeping our room at a steady temperature (often a hotel failing). Being late we just had a drink at the bar which... My family stayed in this hotel for 1 night in June - it was a short stopover enroute to Switzerland. We chose this hotel because it was very near the Milano Centrale train station - so it was really very convenient. It was also very near the underground station which worked very well for us to explore Milan a little... More

I stayed for 3 nights and wanted accommodation close to the train station. It was a very easy walk with heavy luggage. The walk was well lit and open the whole was so i felt very safe even when arriving late at night. Front desk staff were very knowledgeable of how to get around and available whenever I needed them.... More

Yes, this is an old hotel but with charm. The metal keys are very special in this hectic world. Our room was spacious and quite excellent. The bathroom was large as well. The breakfast was quite good. The staff is friendly. The very best part is the location two blocks from Central train station. We enjoyed our stay.

This is the second time that I stayed at the Hotel Auriga, it is an old world, simple, comfortable hotel. It is clean and the people at the desk are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is basic but Italy is not known for their breakfasts in general. It is not luxury it is comfortable. You can fill the bath tub... More

We had taken a triple room in September 2011. We were coming in from Venice by the morning train and departing to Zurich the next morning. This was just a 5 minute walk from the station. We found this hotel to be excellently located for this purpose. We stayed here due to the comfortable pricing, but were very happy with... More

Nice stay, very close to central train station ! It's quite and conformable. It's also located close to good restaurant (either Italian or Japanese) and to the Metro stop ! It's really relaxed during my stay there ! It's a must to try it !!! Enjoy

The Milan Central Station is the focal point for most travellers arriving at or departing this fascinating city. All transport options begin and end here. For the time-poor traveller, finding a hotel with easy access to the station is a great advantage. Of course, in that immediate vicinity there is a plethora of hotels big and small. As usual, Tripadvisor... More

We looked for a convenient hotel to stay after coming from Florence en route to Milan airport flight the next day. Even with large wheeled luggage, we walked to the hotel without issue. It was very clean, the staff was kind and helpful with my check in with Alitalia online. No one mentioned the free breakfast, even though I note... More

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighborhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
