The Milan Central Station is the focal point for most travellers arriving at or departing this fascinating city. All transport options begin and end here. For the time-poor traveller, finding a hotel with easy access to the station is a great advantage. Of course, in that immediate vicinity there is a plethora of hotels big and small. As usual, Tripadvisor... More

We looked for a convenient hotel to stay after coming from Florence en route to Milan airport flight the next day. Even with large wheeled luggage, we walked to the hotel without issue. It was very clean, the staff was kind and helpful with my check in with Alitalia online. No one mentioned the free breakfast, even though I note... More

We had booked this hotel near the train station since we flew in and were leaving by train for Bellagio early the next day...This was a very pleasant surprise since this hotel was not expensive ..and was a great value! The room was very large with a couch and 2 chairs ..and was very quiet. and was tastefully done. The... More

Some places have a vintage, old world charm and I guess Auriga did until recently when it moved from old and charming to old and past it. Cumbersome check in process, giant keys to the room rather than key-cards, doddery antique lift, awful carpet, forgettable rooms, dot-matrix printer to produce final invoice. I could go on, but this place is... More

This hotel is only a five minute walk from the Centrale train station, which was very convenient when we arrived. The hotel made a bad first impression as the man who checked us is was extremely grumpy. I even felt bad asking for a map of the area. The following day, staff were much more pleasant. The room was spacious... More

We chose this hotel purely because of its location next to the central rail station, which is also a great place to catch a bus to both Milan airports. It turned out to be a far better hotel than we expected. The bar area and restaurant have a very welcoming feel and is a nice place to eat breakfast which... More

5 minute walk to station made this great for us for the Grand Prix. Clean comfortable quick check in 24 hr reception and breakfast had cereal, fruit, yogurt, jams, croissants, rolls, meats and cheese with tea or coffee and orange juice. After a long day at the Grand Prix there were 2 nice restaurants just around the corner. Not great... More

Spent a night in transit through Milano. Location is very convenient for transportation: the hotel is just a few steps from the massive building of Stazione Centrale. The station has frequent bus connections with both of Milano's airport, the subway station is also a few steps from the door of the hotel. Check in at the reception was very fast,... More

We booked the Auriga at the start of June as we were attending a wedding in Milan. We had friends staying in the Stazione hotel next door (as an aside they rated that one quite poorly, more like a youth hostel). The Auriga is very centrally located near to the interesting central station which is an attraction in itself. The... More
