They charged my credit card 18€ for minibar. I didn't use the minibar so I asked the hotel for an explanation. They simply replied with a "I'll speak with my boss". When I tried to file a complaint, I found out that in Italy there's no official consumer protection organizations (unlike Spain, where we have the Consumer Arbitration System). They... More

pros: + good location, + shuttle service (very pleasant driver), + friendly staff (not all of them speak English though) cons: - dirty (previous guest hair on the bathroom walls, greasy dryer, dust on the furniture, butts in the window frame, garbage under the table, ) - very noisy, you hear everything what happens on neighbor room and corridor -... Stayed one night in this hotel - rooms very small indeed. Location good, not far form the Central Railway Station, and price reasonable. Lobby being refurbished, so area cramped. Breakfast was fine. Staff reasonably friendly and helpful. Would rather pay a bit more for somewhere with a larger room.

we had to get two rooms since the max capacity is 2 per room. Our room was stuffy and hot. The air Con didnot work; the hotel staff promised to fix or move us the next day. We got one from Priceline without breakfast and booked the second room with breakfast from hotel directly. We were comped for our daughters... More

Stayed here with friend during our long weekend in Milan. The price was the main reason we chose this place so we didn't expect too much. And we got what we paid for, a decent place to sleep and free breakfast in the mornings. Our room was a bit worn out and we were not able to open our window... More

Just spent a night there after getting it on lucky dip on Priceline. Wasn't expecting too much after reading reviews. Pleasantly surprised by the room though which was actually quite nice. But not 4 star by any stretch of the imagination. Perhaps in the 70s. Needs regrading to 3 for sure. The main let down however is the rude elderly... More

Hotel at good position, Bad smell of cigarets and not clean air in room. Hotel under construction.. If you need just for sleep and meeting in Milan..its ok. If you plan more days and longest time inside of hotel..try avoid. Breakfast so and so.. Staff very polight..good side of hotel. For money I pay..good.

If you want to enjoy a nice time in Milan dont stay in this Hotel. Stinky, filthy room, significant construction ongoing. workers on your balcony starting at 7.30 hammering walls. poorest breakfast ever seen. Just unbelievable how such Hotel is allowed to rate itself a 4 star. There seem to be no control on this.

Pros- walking distance to Republicca train station -shower water pressure strong and heats up instantly -decent breakfast -helpful front desk -restaurants are abt 3 blocks down left of hotel Cons-room layout not well planned;my room's bedside table blocked the opening of a cabinet,so the cabinet was basically useless. The toilet was placed so close the washbasin that you have to... More

There were major works about to start so the top floor landing was covered in unattractive protective felt and the view out the window was of scaffolding and plastic. The room in itself was a good size and clean, pity about the unpleasant smell. Disappointing breakfast consisted of a selection of cheap cold meats I couldn't identify despite having lived... More

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighborhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
