Spent 2 nights in the wonderful Hotel Spadari. Great central location close to sights, shops and transport. Friendly, helpful staff and excellent buffet breakfast served until late morning. Rooms are spacious for a city hotel and well appointed.

I stayed here with my husband for 3 nights. The room was clean with good air-con (a very hot summer so much needed to sleep). Bottled water was free at all times. A range of food at breakfast. Helpful staff. We had a room with a balcony - good for smokers. Would stay here again.

Nice boutique hotel in central Milan near the Duomo. Located close to all the tourist sites and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and accomodating. The free breakfast was outstanding along with free access to non alcoholic beverages in the room mini bar. This is a place where we would easily stay again and again.

We stayed in a duplex room: luxurious, spacious & with a bathroom to die for. It almost made you want to stay in, rather than go out! The location was central - just a few minutes walk from the Duomo and the nearest underground station. The staff were helpful and provided detailed instruction of where to go along with a... More

Delightful hotel, steps from the Duomo and close to a metro stop. The staff was gracious and accommodating. Excellent breakfast. Loved the shower (two shower heads) and the room was cold, which felt nice after a long day in 34 degree (almost 100 degrees F) heat.

This is a terrific boutique hotel. It's close to the crowds, but located on a quiet side street. The rooms combine artistic flare with perfect amenities. To top it off, the staff is lovely. They recommended great restaurants and offered insightful guidance on how to navigate the city. We'd highly recommend it.

Hotel Spadari exceeded my expectations. The location in Milan is absolutely ideal. You can walk to everything. It's a short walk from the Duomo yet on a charming side street so quiet. Right next door is a specialty market, across the street is a cafe, and around the corner is a popular shopping street with more affordable clothing and shoes,... More

Stayed for 5 nights. Wonderful staff. Great air conditioning as we were in a heat wave. Wonderful breakfast. The location is the best in all of the city. Walking distance to the metro, the Duomo, La Scala, the Galleria and much more. Shopping is very local with great buys everywhere. You have to visit "Peck" if you are into food.... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in for 2 nights in July 2015. We found it to be modern and comfortable. Our room, although a little small, was very clean and tastefully furnished with a very comfortable bed and the bathroom had all of the modern amenities. The hotel staff was professional and very knowledgeable about the sites... More

We LOVED this hotel. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. The price was great. The location was amazing. The rooms were spacious and everything in the mini bar is INCLUDED. The breakfast was pretty good as well. The only negative is that there is only one elevator and it is tiny. It took 3 trips to take our bags... More

Staying in Centro Storico

Neighborhood Profile
Centro Storico
The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.
