I have travelled half the world and visited many 5 stars hotels and one seven stars. This trip was to a friends wedding in Florence and the on to Milano Expo 2015. I arrived at the Hotel Principle the Milano 2 hrs earlier and had to have tea at the tea room before my choosen room was ready. During tea,... More

Decided to stay in this hotel for the third time, since, well, basically I was too lazy to do my research and find a different hotel to stay in. This hotel does not disappoint. Perfect service, smiling faces, and very reasonable prices. The clientele is the only drawback of this hotel - not a very fashionable crowd, but then again,... More

We spent 3 nights in this absolutely beautiful hotel. On our last visit, we stayed in the more centrally located Four Seasons, which was beautiful as well, but the comparable Four Seasons room was significantly smaller and about 30% more expensive. The decor was contemporary and very luxurious (leather-covered doorway separated large bathroom/dressing room from the rest of the room;... More

i have been going to this hotel for more than 10 years visiting every couple of weeks or so. i have tried all the different kind of rooms including a lucky upgrade to the presidential suite . this hotel is not only about the quality of the rooms (which can vary but usually it is very high standard) but it... The hotel is nice, the rooms not more than that. Overpriced. Too many guests for the staff. We had a terrible poor incheck, because we did not have passport for the baby. Exceptional bad service in order to help us. Just Return! What! At last we found a picture of the babys passport and was checked in, but then the... More

Dear Mr einar e, Thank you for sharing your review, although of course I am awfully sorry that you had an unpleasant experience. As we already mentioned in previous exchanges, the Italian law requires that every hotel guests presents a valid document during the check-in procedure. This I'm afraid includes babies. As you wrote, our front desk staff accepted a... More

We just returned from a short break at the Principe Di Savoia. It is a very stylish, comfortable hotel with extremely attentive service. The room (Superior) was quite large, immaculate with a marble bathroom, bath and separate shower and a huge bed. Always surprised by the negative comments, the hotel is not inexpensive but you are treated very well indeed... More

The hotel is one of the most popular in Milan among the 5* properties and located in the central Piazza Repubblica, basically between the central station and the city centre. Great location for business and leisure stays. Amazing historical building with rich interiors and opulent decor with some contemporary touches. Great bar and restaurant for a quick bite or a... Stayed in the hotel with my son. Had an all incl b+b. Service was very warm and nice. Breakfast was good, concierge was good. All very nice. Room was clean and nice bathroom. We did have the superior room. I would go back. I missed out on the 10th floor as we had forgotten our work out gear. Will use... More

Top notch, couldn't be happier with the facilities, the people and the food! You will not be disappointed you stayed here! They offer limo service to the Duomo and fashion district. The breakfast is second to none and the restaurant is gourmet with impeccable service.

Our stay was perfect from the beginning until the end. Staff and concierge very welcoming and friendly, always keen on delighting us with their services. Beautifully equipped rooms, cleanliness should not be discussed as expected in a 5 star like the Principe. Overall very recommendable if you want to spend at least 300 Euros per night.

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighborhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
