Could not get into my regular Hotel in Milan as this was a very last-minute trip. The hotel location is great and staff could not have been nicer. The hotel is a little worn out....very business like feel. Not at all a "Boutique Hotel" in my mind. My small room looked over an interior courtyard....had fake wood floors, synthetic pillows... Extremely convenient hotel located within easy walking distance from the Duomo, Brea district, fashion district, and public transportation. Not cheap, for the room size, but one pays for the convenience, good service, and an efficiently laid out and comfortable room. I had a room with a jacuzzi which was a nice feature. Good quality breakfast, too.

Travelled solo to Milan. Hotel is an easy 10-15minute walk from the Cardona train station, 5-10 minute walk to La Scala, the Duomo and Gallerie in one direction and the Brera neighborhood in the other. The room is a split level – the bedroom area is rather small but it was a single and the twin bed was to be... More

Great location for La Scala, the Duomo on foot and an easy walk to a couple of Metro stations. This charming hotel is hard to beat. The rooms are well appointed, the huge bath in ours might be a challenge to get in and out of for "older" guests! Pre dinner cocktails on the roof garden were very special.

I stayed at the Milano Scala for 3 nights in July 2015. The hotel is quite expensive but I booked it online in advance and the rate was very reasonable. The location is perfect; at the center of the city in walking distance from the major tourist destinations that are located at the center of Milan. At least two subway... More

Room was small, but neat & clean. Amenities were great. Breakfast was outstanding; complete with live music (solo guitar). Very nice variety of hot and cold dishes...lots of interesting yogurts Location quite excellent; convenient for business.

This is a beautiful Boutique Hotel in the Heart of Milano. Quiet, but trendy, and very clean. The rooms are beautiful, and the staff area great. The breakfast that is included is outstanding and is very well above average. It has many times of fruits included, eggs, sausages, bacon, muffins, cakes, breads, yogurts, desserts...all included, which you have a flute... More

The hotel has an ok location, walking distance to the most important tourist destinations of the city: shopping, La Scala and the Bulgari hotel, which is worth a visit if you are not willing to pay the rate. Drinks in their garden are a must. Back to the Hotel Milano Scala: the rooms are great, clean, big, and some with... More

The heart of this exceptional hotel is the whole staff. From the moment we stepped in, Demetrius in the reception area made us feel at home. Riva in the concierge, Michele in the restaurant did extra effort to attend to our needs. All the staff are professional but not without a touch of warmth. The breakfast choices are great to... Staying in Brera

Neighborhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
