Located in a great area of Milan. The renovation of an old house is superbly done: a great mix stone, brick and original features. The sitting room and the court yard provides a great sense of space and light. Staff were attentive and helpful with good English. We had a canal room which was fine. We did not experience the... My wife and I stayed at the Maison Privee, an annex to the main hotel and made up from a large house divided into separate apartments in the Italian style, around a small courtyard. It was a fairly recent conversion and, although it looked smart, was unfortunately not very well executed. The door handle was very stiff, the window handles... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in the Maison Privee room (the only one available during our stay) for a conference at Bocconi University. It was during particularly hot weather in Milan (temperatures around 35 in the daytime). Pros: The room was nice, and very big. The location was also good - on the canals, with many restaurants around. It... More

We requested a quiet room and it was! Room and facilities were modern, and good quality. Range of food was really good and fresh. Hotel location was excellent for access to restaurants, metro and Expo. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Would recommend this boutique hotel.

All I can say is our room is clean enough, cozy and chic. Well organized and lots of restaurant around. Plus not so far from the station. Though it is a little bit expensive but worth the price anyway.

Our accommodation was spacious (bedroom, dressing area, sitting room, bathroom), but very noisy at night; the dark decor and lack of natural light made it feel gloomy. The windows were not easy to open - unfortunate for health and safety reasons. The rooms were dusty; two light bulbs had blown; a mirror fell off the wall in the middle of... More

Very nice, clean, new room in typical Milanese house, perhaps a little dark. The bathroom was comfortable except for the rather small shower. Good breakfast. Location is 300 m from metro station and in an area of Milan that is very popular especially among young peple, and full of restaurants and bars. Only real complain (and reason for my grade)... Albeit not on the cheap side, this hotel is a nice gem right in the heart of Milano's movida. The room I had, a suite with living room and bedroom, was very nice on the back court (classical casa di ringhiera where the apartments have the entrance on a common balcony) and also very quite. Good breakfast, capable of mixing... More

Spent 2 nights here...when we made our booking we also requested for their car to pick us up at Milan Airport..we were advised a driver would be there in a black Mercedes to meet us....when we arrived no-one was waiting for us..no car...not a good start. We phoned the hotel and was told it was 5 minutes away...15 minutes later... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
