The house is really fantastic and secluded. Room spacious tidy and comfortable. Big bathroom. Nice breakfast room. The owner most kind and helpful. Location spectacular. Only feature a bit on the week side is Wifi that comes and goes a bit on the slow side. A little fridge in the room would be greatly appreciated. All in all a great... More

Myself and my three daughters stayed at Cocoon B&B for two nights in June this year. It is a charming spot, and Mia couldn't have been more helpful with arranging taxis and recommending dining spots, travel times, and things to see. We will definitely be back again!

We booked Cocoon for a weekend in Milan in Jun'15. Through the whole process, our hostess Mia was very helpful and communicative in terms of availability, how to access the B&B etc. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, the breakfast room was lovely with a view of the garden, and the breakfast itself was a good selection. The location... More

The hostess is an architect who has converted an old cement mixing factory into a very chic and elegant B&B that also serves as her home and office as well as her sister's home. The rooms are centered around a wonderfully green and peaceful courtyard. The room itself is like the rest of the property which is well-appointed throughout and... More

Beside the fact that red is my favorite color, the building is very nice with this noveau gate that is beautiful to me. We had the red room, nicely furnished and quiet facing the "cortile" Too bad we only stay for one night.

When planning our 3 weeks trip to Italy I was determined not to stay in large, impersonal hotels. This B&B was perfect for our two night stay in Milan. We walked to the Duomo, the castle, the arch and beyond from this B&B. It would have been easy to get on a bus or train but we wanted to walk.... More

Spent a quick 1 night at the Cocoon B&B and it was a lovely experience. The owner, and architect of the property, Mia lives on site and is a very kind and helpful hostess. We stayed in the "White Room", which is one of 3 rooms on her property, and it was clean and decorated in excellent taste. Bed was... More

The other reviews were right-on: this is a special place that we highly recommend. It is architecturally elegant, the rooms are well equipped, there's a very nice breakfast and friendly host. Although the place itself is quiet, it is just a short walk to the train station and bus stops with easy access to the Milan's sights and museums. It... More

This nice and tastefully designed b&b is a excellent choice if you are looking for a reasonable priced accomodation in Milan. Good breakfast, nice room and really helpful and positive owner Mia. It's location is good, near metro and tramlines. And you will find many good restaurants from this trendy Navigli area. We will absolutely stay here in our next... More

Staying in Navigli

Neighborhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
