My husband and I stayed at this hotel as we are Platinum Elite members with IHG and we were told that this was the nicest IHG property in Milan. The hotel itself is located a few blocks from the central train station (you can walk, I did with luggage, while pregnant) but doesn't seem to be in the best neighborhood.... More

30 minutes by coach from Linate airport (costs 5 euros per way) to the Central Station and this hotel is located approximately 5 minutes walk from the Central Station. Right beside the hotel is the metro stop Sondrio. Around the area there are shops and restaurants. Just 5 stops from Sondrio (on the metro) is Duomo which is Central Milano... More

Reception very helpful and accommodating At the time we were there restaurant closed and reliant on bar. Food was very average and bar area was empty Room was small and air conditioning was typical Northern European. Simply cannot cope with warm days over thirty degrees. Very hot nights. Went back to bar once more and really felt we were creating... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in July. The location was very convenient - there is a subway stop right in front of the hotel. The rooms were small but nice and clean. Our only complaint was how poorly the air conditioning worked for the first several nights we were there. It was unusually hot in Milan and the AC... More

My husband and I travelled to Milan for our wedding anniversary, the hotel was great! Clean, good breakfast and more than accommodating staff. The rooms were well equipped with good air conditioning (much needed in the summer heat!) Good strong shower and comfy beds! The staff were more than happy to advise restaurants and places to visit and would always... More

Our stay was only one night. The staff was nice. The hotel was clean. Free parking was available inside their gate. The Metro entrance was adjacent to the hotel - very convenient. P.S. this has nothing to do with hotel but, be careful if you purchase Metro tickets from the underground newstand at the Sondrio station below the hotel -... More

We stayed at this hotel for my birthday, it was part of a surprise trip to Milan and I have to say i thought it was fabulous. The hotel itself was so clean and looked after and it was a brilliant location. The tube station was right outside and there were restaurants close by, the hotel itself is well maintained... More

Well i think this is the smallest room we witnessed while in Europe. inspite of being a platinum member they did not upgrade me the 1st day but on repeated requests they did so on the 2nd day. However the Air condition in this hotel and the room just doesn't work inspite of complaining a few times at the reception.... More

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighborhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
