Do your research. This is not a 4 star hotel. There are multiple rooms throughout Milan so if you want privacy and no service this may be the place for you. For a hotel experience with hotel attention you must stay elsewhere. The "staff" at The Place will not apologize for who they are and what they do not do.

The Place is a group of apartments spread out in prime locations in Milan. We stayed in the Golden Suite in La Brera (Via Fiori Chiari, 21, 20121 Milano, Italy) for 3 nights. 1) Before you arrive They require you to contact them to let them know exactly what time you will be checking in, since they have different apartments... It's simple. It is located in the noisiest place in Milan, and has NOT double glazing. Impossible to sleep The room is beautiful and The bathroom is a work of art You get a voucher for breakfast at a bar located opposite the building. Breakfast is just a capuccino with two croissant. No fruits, No cereals, no cheese, no ham,... More

At first I had some doubts when I booked since its a kind of accomodation that I never booked before... as I'm usually staying in hotels, not in serviced apartments... So I didn't really know what to expect. Anyway, everything was perfect from the beginning to the end. The Place is classy, comfortable and totally reliable. The check in was... More

Duomo suite is a spacious studio suite located on the 3rd floor of a building (with a lift) facing the Corso Vittorio Emmanuele, with wonderful views up and down the Corso and to the Duomo at the far end (but only if you step out on to the little balcony, half of which is blocked by the AC compressor). Norma... More

The manager did not keep her word. I made a reservation on Apr 1st for a stay in mid-May. I canceled a few days later on Apr 4th after a change in plans. At that time, I called the manager and she told me that there would be no charge for cancellation (which is normally 10% of the stay) because... More

Location was amazing! The suite we chose was a few blocks from everything in town. Norma met us at the suite to welcome us and she was amazing. So helpful in giving us instructions. I wish we had more time to enjoy the room and the amazing views. Please make sure that you check that the room you select is... More

This accommodation was a Duomo Suite, a self contained studio apartment in a perfect location for restaurants, shopping and museums. The room we had was spacious and comfortable and the coffee machine was much appreciated. The furniture was a little less than perfect but the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed watching the high fashion of Milan from our balcony.... More

Great little apartment on the fiori chiari. Fantastic location for museums shops etc. Lovely restaurants on the doorstep, and last night just a stagger home! Apartment clean and tidy, bedding luxurious, very little street noise, and kitchen equipped with the basics for tea or coffee, we were offered the choice of breakfast in a nearby café or do our own... We stayed at Via Privata Pasaerella 4 during Thanksgiving week - booked the Duomo "suite". Our traveling party consisted of my wife and three kids - 11,7, and 3. As my family has grown, I find this type of rental (it's not really a hotel, rather an apartment in a building) is the only way for me to keep costs... More

Staying in Brera

Neighborhood Profile
Brera
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
