A very grim and dull place, not very welcoming. The only good thing about it was that it was clean. Shower in the bedroom is unhygienic and a bit mouldy, after taking a shower the room gets steamy - it's like sleeping in the bathroom. Toilet is inn the corridor outside. No common areas, no breakfast, not the best neighbourhood,... More

It was an unpleasant and infuriating experience in this hostel. First of all, it is in a far location from the metro station, unlike stated in the website. If you have luggage with you, it is a long walk in the lambrate neighbourhood which is messy and unclean. After we reached the building, we were shocked to find that it... More

I shared a 3-bedroom room (booked through Youth-Hostel.com) with my group. We were confused by the directions given on the website, so use Google maps to get walking directions from the Lambrate stop of the M2 (green) metro line. The price was good (under $20/night each) and the room was clean. There was a sink and a shower in the... More

Some of the Chinese staff speak English, others very poor, service level is satisfactory, beds and shower are clean. We spend euro 225 for 10 person, 1 night. For that little money you cannot expect allot, so we are very happy with a clean room. Door and lock are very poor, cannot leave any items of value in room. Shower... More

I am surprised how it's cheap and well located. The staff is friendly, although the coffee machine is not really excellent solution for the coffee adicts as myself, but in general, very good deal.

OK good points first. The hotel was kept clean and the staff were friendly and helpful on the whole. The room was very basic but was clean and I suppose in a one star hotel you get what you pay for. In terms of location, the hotel was a 5 or 10 minute walk from the Metro station which allows... More

I was in Hotel Alba in January, and I was surprised to see that everything is exactely like in the hotel's pictures from their site, nothing more, nothing less. The rooms are clean, with shower and sink, inside, have daily cleaning. The only bad of this place was the noise, you could hear in the morning the speaking from reception and... More

I would say if you are on a budget, stay here. Great staff, very friendly and attentive. Rooms are small and the toilet is the only thing not in them. Shower are well...euroshowers...small. So for you Americans...if you don't like this, then go somewhere else. For us it was great. A bit away from the Central train station, but it... More
