This is a lovely old building dating back to the 1700's with a lovely owner called Anna who is extremely helpful. The bedroom we had was huge (on the ground floor). The breakfasts were amazing if you like to eat a lot in the morning, lots of different homemade cakes, as well as yoghurt, breads, hams, cheese - a huge... More

This is a small boutique hotel (not really a B&B) of two halves. The very good: rooms are large and airy, in a historic building. Breakfast was the best we have had at any B&B in Italy -- truly outstanding, with local dishes as well. Location is a ten minute drive (or less) from the historic part of Mantua. Management... More

When I arrived by taxi, rather than driving, I was told this would be a problem as the hotel is not near the town. Nevertheless everyday I received help calling a taxi and was able to return by cab obtained at one of the town's taxi ranks. The room was very comfortable and clean and breakfast was a feast of... I think you should stay here just for the breakfast, Anna is the most amazing cook. We had found the decor and presentation of the B&B rather cold as the unusual contemporary furnishings did not appeal to us, but it was worth it for the huge surprise in the morning. She had baked her own bread, there were savoury tarts... More

This was, for us, by far the best B&B experience we have ever had. Anna was a wonderful hostess, and the room (I should call it a suite), huge, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. It is listed as a Hotel, rather than as a B&B, so perhaps it is. But for us, it was a B&B experience. Anna's breakfast were... More

in a secluded villa 3 km out of Mantova's tourist attraction, overlooking the countryside - a recommended option for those seeking a quiet spot. The lady who received us (I apologize for forgetting her name) was extremely helpful and some of the breakfast local dishes are home made and absolutely delicious. The decor is modern and somewhat cold, but the... More

Charming villa of the 18th century, restored and beautifully furnished, with a nice garden and a safe free parking. The whole atmosphere is really elegant. The breakfast was special, with homemade cakes cooked by the lady owner, and quality prosciutto and cheeses. The lady was very nice (when we left she even gave us a box of local rice as... More

We hadn't realized when we booked Residenza La Villa that it lay just outside Mantua, and drove right past it on our way into the city. Fortunately for us, the hotel's indefatigable innkeeper, Anna, volunteered to meet us in the central square and escort us back to the property. The hotel occupies a modest villa set on gated, secluded grounds... More

Great location for Mantua and day tripping, spotlessly clean and hostess lovely. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. The other reviews seem to say it all. Would, without a question, stay here time after time.

We has a 2 night stay at this hotel while visiting Mantova and Verona, and it is every bit as good as the reviews suggest. We had a standard double room and this was perfectly good enough for our weekend, with an excellent bathroom. The breakfast of home made cakes etc is outstanding, and the owner is helpful and friendly.... More
