Although some way out of Mantua-yes, you will need a car- it provided the perfect base. Really friendly staff and helpful recommendations of exceptional places to visit which were off the beaten track, inc. hidden-away restaurants . The mouthwatering array of home-made cakes for breakfast was to die for, washed down with as much coffee etc as you could drink.... More

Wonderful quiet hotel in a beautiful villa built in the 18th century. In spite of the house being old the room is absolutely modern, roomy and homely. Breakfast is superb, with wonderful home made delicacies. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. I truly hope I can go back again.

This Hotel is charming. Very large, tasteful, quiet clean rooms. Breakfasts are wonderful and Anna is a great cook and hospitable, knowledgeable host. It is about 4kls from Mantova so having a car is recommended.

My review is mixed. It wasn't what we were looking for and not the right fit for us. The place lacked charm and did not feel inviting. Location was outside the city of Mantua. Good Points - Owner was helpful to point out places to go in the area and restaurants. Her recommendations were excellent. She also welcomed us back... More

A small charming hotel on the outskirts of the Mantova (just 5 kilometers away from the city center), an ideal stay for exploring Verona, Modena, Reggio Emilia, Parma, Sabbioneta and Mantova itself. Anna, the owner with a great sense of humor, is always available, always ready to help and makes your stay the most enjoyable. Clean spacious rooms, something new... More

This is a lovely old building dating back to the 1700's with a lovely owner called Anna who is extremely helpful. The bedroom we had was huge (on the ground floor). The breakfasts were amazing if you like to eat a lot in the morning, lots of different homemade cakes, as well as yoghurt, breads, hams, cheese - a huge... More

This is a small boutique hotel (not really a B&B) of two halves. The very good: rooms are large and airy, in a historic building. Breakfast was the best we have had at any B&B in Italy -- truly outstanding, with local dishes as well. Location is a ten minute drive (or less) from the historic part of Mantua. Management... More

When I arrived by taxi, rather than driving, I was told this would be a problem as the hotel is not near the town. Nevertheless everyday I received help calling a taxi and was able to return by cab obtained at one of the town's taxi ranks. The room was very comfortable and clean and breakfast was a feast of... I think you should stay here just for the breakfast, Anna is the most amazing cook. We had found the decor and presentation of the B&B rather cold as the unusual contemporary furnishings did not appeal to us, but it was worth it for the huge surprise in the morning. She had baked her own bread, there were savoury tarts... More

This was, for us, by far the best B&B experience we have ever had. Anna was a wonderful hostess, and the room (I should call it a suite), huge, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. It is listed as a Hotel, rather than as a B&B, so perhaps it is. But for us, it was a B&B experience. Anna's breakfast were... More
