We enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and quiet. The bartender made me one of the best Martinis I ever had. The location is near everything in this beautiful resort town. You can easily walk just about anywhere with little trouble. It is a B&B. The breakfast was ample and good.

This little hotel is a gem in the centre of Stresa. Very friendly owner. Good, adequate breakfast. Our room was spacious and the little balcony overlooking the piazza so cute and we had many glasses of wine there, nibbling on prosciutto and parmigiano. We had to leave early after our 3 night stay so the owner packed us some sandwiches,... More

The Elena is a basic, family run hotel in Stresa. The building is an older style, full of character and our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed including a verandah overlooking the Piazza below. We spent a few hours sitting outside on the verandah, sipping a wine and enjoying the buzz in the piazza. We were made... More

Our second stay at Hotel Elena this year, and just as good. It's run by Laura, a very sweet and friendly lady who'll do all she can to ensure you're happy. It's a charming old building but the rooms are modern, with very nice if small bathrooms, and it's very clean. Continental breakfasts are fine and they have a bar... More

The woman in charge is friendly and helpful. Prices are very very reasonable. Ceiling fans in the rooms are big and we had a frig in our room. The location is a dream right smack in the middle of the quaint little section of shops in Stresa. Everything from scarfs, to leather goods, Gelato or clothes is available. Breakfast included... We loved this hotel. Close to everything, clean, small but comfortable, excellent breakfast and some of the best coffee we have had in Italy so far. I selected this hotel based on the recommendation of a friend and it was every bit as good as she said. Staff are friendly, efficient and will do anything to make your stay a... More

Just back from an eight night stay at this hotel in wonderful Stresa. I had an extremely comfortable stay at this lovely little hotel. It sits right on the busy main square so is ideal for getting to the town and ferry terminal. I had a nice little room at the back of the hotel which was nice and quiet... More

This is a small family hotel smack dab in the middle of Stresa. Right in the central piazza. We were on the third floor I think, and from our room we could see snow capped mountains in the distance, and enjoy watching the comings and goings in the piazza below. Noise was not an issue. This location was absolutely excellent.... More

Spent our first night in Italy in Stresa. The Hotel Elena is a wonderful location. Right on the main square. The quad room was tight but clean and comfortable. It had a great balcony overlooking the town, square and mountains. The breakfast was good and it was fun sitting on the patio/cafe sipping a few beverages. I would recommend the... More
