In general the hotel was alright. Nothing special. The good thing is that you can reach the center within only a few minutes walking. The bathroom was quite small and average clean. The sleeping quality not good at all. 2 beds pushed together which always split isn't for a couple trying to cuddle. Also the mattress wasn't the best. Nevertheless...

Nice basic hotel close to the lake shops and cafes. Staff friendlly and helpful - lent us umbrellas when it was raining. Breafast was typical of europe but with unlimited tea and coffee - so much cheaper than eating in nearby cafes. We had a room at the back so was
fairly noisy but not enough to keep you awake.

Good location, short walk to the centre of Stresa.
Located midway between town and cable car.
Stresa is the perfect location for sightseeing around the lake.
Approximately 75 meters from the lake, we paid for a room with a lake view.
Breakfast fine, typical breakfast for continental Europe hotel.
Good place to relax after sightseeing. Not grand like some of...

I can not understand all the good reviews this hotel has. This hotel is the 1 reason my boyfriend and I will never stay in another 3 star hotel.
These are the facts -
When in your room you can hear everything - I mean everything next door - we heard a person going to the loo from start to...

We arrived two days early for our reservation. The hotel was very helpful in securing a double-bed room, and we stayed 4 nights. Stresa was the most restful stop on our tour of 2.5 weeks. The hotel apologized for the smaller room, and double bed instead of twin beds, but it was their only room available. Others are larger, some...

My husband and I traveled with both set of parents on a 2 week driving tour of Italy.
We went to Stresa since it was close to family we were visiting in the area. The town is amazing and the sites on Isola Bella are not to be missed. We could easily have extended our stay here from 2 nights...

Not much from the outside, but that's like all hotels in Europe. It was within walking distance from the train station and the main downtown area. Our room was on the 4th floor, more spacious due to the cathedral ceiling. Full size bathroom, definitely a plus! Nice view of the lake from the walk-out balcony.

Budget hotel located about 100 metres from the train station (closest hotel to rail). Small room with comfortable bed. No amenities like hairdryer or coffee machine. Old 10" television mouted high up on wall didn't work. No air conditioning. Decent but not great "free" breakfast. Staff spoke only a little English. Towels were about 2mm thick.

We stayed here only 2 nights and it was wonderful.
Considering how lovely the town of Stresa and the lake are, we didn't spend much time in the room so didn't need all the fancy mod cons.
The room was very basic and quite small, but it had everything we needed (bed, TV, shower). If you want all the fancy...
