We stayed at the La Palma Hotel in July 2014. It was the perfect hotel! The location was ideal for walking to all parts of town. What sets this hotel apart from other seemingly grander hotels are the unique amenities. The rooftop is incredible for 360 degree views, reasonably priced cocktails or bottle of bubbly and relaxing in the large... More

We stayed here from the end of June for 2 weeks. It has taken me a while to write the review because I didn't want to be unfair. SO, I will start with the positives. The hotel is in a lovely position with wonderful views across the lake. There is an easy walk into Stresa and to the ferry terminal.... More

We visited hotel to go to the roof top Sky Bar for lunch and drinks. We had a wander round the hotel and it looked good quality and spacious. The Sky Bar has fantastic views over the lake and is a quality establishment. The salads were very good along with the Aperol cocktails we tried. A bit more expensive than... More

My first experience of the Italian lakes, that I have heard so much about. We were not disappointed. We stayed in the La Palma Hotel one the side of Lake Maggiore. It was beautiful. The hotel was charming and wonderfully furnished in a traditional way. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the rooms lovely with balconies with flowers... More

This is the 2nd time we have booked the La Palma Hotel for our business meetings. And, we have already decided to go back! The hotel staff is excellent, the meeting space is great, the rooms are nice. All in all, this is a great choice. I highly recommend the La Palma Hotel, not just for a leisure trip, but... More

The hotel was conveniently located to the town of Stresa, its shops and restaurants, and within easy walking distance to boat rides and the lift to the mountain. Rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was very good. Public spaces for dining, bar scene, or meeting friends were excellent. The Sky Bar on the 7th floor is an attraction in its... More

We stayed at the La Palma Hotel in Stresa as part of a tour but were treated very well. It is right along the main street of Stresa, convenient to shops and restaurants. It has two outdoor pools, one on the roof that is heated and one on the lake. It also has a sauna, steam room and massages. The... More

We have stayed at La Palma regularly over some eight or nine years and were again there for the last week in August this year. This last visit confirmed fully our previous very positive experiences. The staff is very attentive, friendly and efficient, the cuisine first class, the wine cellar excellent. We have the same room for each visit with... More

Hotel La Palma was our second stop in the "Lakes" region. The lobby has many seating vignettes along with a spectacular roof top bar (the main attraction). There are many areas to relax outside as well. The hotel does seem to accommodate tour groups and weddings, so do keep that in mind. Our room had a great view of the... More
