I recently stayed a Hotel Saini in Stresa. We arrived on the train and did have a bit of a time finding it. Look carefully because there is not a large sign. We enjoyed our stay in Stresa...it is a beautiful place! The hotel was fairly comfortable except there is no air conditioning and I couldn't keep the windows open... more

While overall this hotel is on par with what I expect from a small Italian 3 star hotel - both good and bad mentioned in numerous other reviews - one thing that really irked my wife and me on our recent stay was that someone (presumably the owner) entered our room after we had checked-in and subsequently gone back out... more

We were quite disappointed with the Hotel Saine Meuble. We had read about it in both Rick Steve's and Tripadvisor. This is not a hotel I would recommend to friends. It feels like a very dated hotel, even though it appears to be fairly clean. The breakfasts consisted of a dry croissant, juice and coffee. The room smells of some... more

This was out 6th trip to Stresa, which we love, in the past 18-months. Just had another 3-days in early June. Flights are so cheap from the UK. Mr Saini didn't let us down again and excellent room only worked out at 100 euros per night which is great value, even with weak pound. Sad to say that it rained... more

Really enjoyed a few days in Stresa last month, staying at a lovely small hotel owned and run by Mr Saini, who was very gracious and helpful and pointed us in the direction of the best restaurants etc. Price was very good, even though the £ is currently against us. Will definately return. more

We spent 4 nights at the Hotel Saini. We arrived on time after 20 hours of traveling from San Francisco. Our room was not ready (it was after 3 pm)and we were told to wait an hour. Gionni runs the place with little help and our room was not ready because the prior guests had him up all night-he locks... more

Nice place to stay. Gionni was everywhere - he works 24/7 and was a great help with the best restaurants for the euro and the sights that were must see. Take the train to Locarno, Switzerland and be sure to see the islands and palaces. His B&B provides Hausbrandt espresso - by far the best coffee you will ever experience... more

Having read all the glowing reviews on this hotel I switched my reservation from the Hotel du Parc. I am glad I did this as the Saini Meuble is in the center of town which is a much better location for restaurants and ferry access. Taxis charge E8 to any hotel from the train station. The du Parc looked fine... more

Gianni is the consumate host. He must work 24/7! We stayed one night at he Saini Meuble, and will be back next year for a longer stay. Stresa is worth several days if you're looking for a nice smaller town to relax, daytrip from, and are on a budget. (Cheaper and much more convienent to reach than Bellagio.) The town... more

We were only in Stresa for a little less than 24 hours, but our stay at the Hotel Saini Meuble was a great end to our trip. What a wonderful hotel, clean, great location, rooms are a very nice size, quiet, comfortable beds. Gianni who runs the hotel was so helpful and nice. I wish we had more time in... more
