Stayed at the Primavera for 3 nights in April 08, having made the booking in January. Shortly before we flew out to Italy, I noticed that there were now 2 reviews on TripAdviser where people had been messed around by this hotel. On arrival at the Primavera, we were told that our room was not available, as the previous occupant... more

I had booked a room and had confirmed reservations in Feb 2006. We were supposed to stay there Sept 9, 2006. We arrived in the mid afternoon and walked from the train station to the hotel with our luggage. We were told that the hotel was booked and the room we were supposed to have still had someone's possessions in... more

We booked the Primavera Hotel online with a 'confirmed reservation' after reading reviews of numerous hotels in Stresa in its price range. The hotel has no parking on the property, so we left our luggage in our car and walked to the hotel. Upon arrival, the person at the desk (an older male) informed us that the hotel was fully... more

this was our second stay in Stresa at the Prima Vera having stayed last year as well. Hotel is good value for money located in pedestrianised area. Can be a little noisy up to midnight with the bar in the pedestrianised area below. Breakfast comprises cereals, yoghurts, rolls etc with juice and tea/coffee. self service so you can have as... more

Booked through Priceline-Europe. The hotel was right in the middle of the pedestrian district of Stresa. The location was great. While the hotel was listed as a three star, I am not so sure, but it was a great value. The staff were very friendly and knew English. The place was clean. The usual European breakfast was served, rolls, cheese,... more

I have to say this hotel was a pleasant surprise. GREAT location and very clean. For the price it just can't be beat! We expected fair at most for such a cheap rate but you will not be disappointed. more

We stayed for 3 nights at the beginning of Sept. On the positive side, the hotel was clean, had a great location, the bed and furnishings were fine, and breakfast was a bit above average. Staff was friendly and helpful. The bad things were no fridge, a small shower, and small TV. It was listed as a 3-star hotel, but... more

Stayed here for just one night, but plan to return! Convenient location in centre. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there's plenty of choice in the main square. We recommend the Osteria degli Amici the other side of the main square, traditional Italian food and friendly (lathough it's popular, so book or get there early!!). Friendly & helpful staff.... more
