You cannot fail to be impressed by the building when you arrive and the beautifully maintained grounds, even though it was raining at the time. On entering the hotel you feel as if you are in an episode of Poirot. Check in was efficient and quick and we were shown to our room with a lovely view over the lake.... More

Be aware that the breakfast offered is extremely poor , the majority of the fruit offered was tinned, there was only scrambled egg available which had been cooked and left for some time, with poor bacon and sausage, on requesting tea we were given one tea bag and a small cup, on trying to locate further teabags found that they... We we in Stresa for a wedding. The hotel was nice, good location, staff spoke good English. Rooms are romantic, we had a huge terrace on the quiet back side! Grounds are beautiful, grotto was fun! Nice breakfast in a lovely room! Food just ok, but great cappuccino! We enjoyed our stay! Elevators and spa, and pool!

This was our second visit to the hotel. The hotel is quite elegant, reflecting the area and the town. The location is lovely, just a literal stone's throw from the lake and a pleasant stroll into town. Due to the lovely weather when we visited, we were able to enjoy the gardens and the outdoor pool (there is a most... More

My second time, over 7 years, at The Regina Palace, Stresa. The first time I was in awe of the beauty and elegance of this hotel. This time I felt saddened by the lack of maintenance and how tired the Regina was feeling. The staff, oh there were staff apparently, gave the impression that you were a burden to them.... More

We took the Alibus from Malpenza Airport, which dropped us off at Piazza Maraconi, a very short walk to the hotel. They charged 12 euro per person. We had an outstanding corner lake view room (301) with a large round bed, lovely decor, 2 large closets, wood flooring, nice size bathroom with double sinks, spa bathtub, bidet, bathrobe an slippers.... Our holiday to Lake Maggiore included a stay at Regina Palace Hotel in Stresa. Excellent choice of place and hotel. The hotel was first class, the staff most helpful, the restaurant very good. What you see on their web page is in no way misleading. Just bear in mind that the building has four sides so lake views are available... More

Old and impressive looking building located by Lago Maggiore. Since the building is old it means everything isn't up to date. E.g. every room is different from each other - there are smaller and bigger rooms with different interiors. Our room was on the 6th floor and it was quite small. A lot of noise was coming from the corridor.... More

Very impressive hotel from outside and main inside areas until I arrived at your room .My "whirlpool " or as I know it "spa bath " would not have worked for years !!Bathroom needs updating My TV picture was like snow falling so I filled in form for necessary maintenance for TV .It was partially fixed by placing a piece... We stayed five nights and each one was just great. the room was comfortable and the view over the lake just magical. The hotel really is "Grand". The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and breakfast was excellent.
