How good to stay in a place like this full of old world character. It overlooks lovely Lake Maggiore and the gardens are magnificent. Upon entering the hotel there is a very large lounge area with plenty of comfortable seating and in front of you is the grand staircase. The hotel room was beautifully furnished. Dinners in the large dining... More

What a magnificent hotel. This was truly a palace. The hotel staff was wonderful. The rooms were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. The grounds are well maintained and have beautiful landscaping. They are a very large sitting area with lots of room for groups of people to be able to sit and talk. They have an indoor pool... Stayed here two nights with our tour group at the end of a two week tour of Italy. This spacious and beautifully landscaped hotel is stunningly situated across the street from picturesque Lake Maggiore and is astonishingly close to the quaint backstreet shops and restaurants of Stresa. Its very large and comfortable public areas are elegantly appointed and dominated by... More

We arrived and were efficiently processed through check-in. The room looked out over Lake Maggiore and was very clean. There was plenty of space for our clothes. The bathroom was in good condition with plenty of incidentals. We stayed two nights and were not disappointed. The breakfast was one step up front standard Italy. The market in town was only... This was one of the stop overs on a coach trip to Rome and the Amalfi area. I was given a beautifully appointed single room with a small balcony and a view over Lake Maggiore. The dining room staff were very friendly and helpful and the evening meal and the buffet breakfast were of a good standard. I just wish... More

The sound insulation of the room is very bad and you can hear what people are saying (who live in the room next to you). We requested for a change of room, and they gave us a room which is not clean up and also with bad sound insulation. Not recommend for couples to live here. Good buffet breakfast.

The Regina Palace is a 4 star hotel, but has got many features of 5 stars. The dining room is very elegant, though the variety of food in breakfast is limited. The SPA and indoor swimming pool are really wonderful, big enough to swim and lot of seats to relax. The rooms are spacious, but if you arrive for the... More

We stayed here as part of a Great Rail Journeys holiday package. The hotel is a short 10-15 min walk from the railway station, but those with a lot of luggage may need a taxi. In spite of being aware of how many were arriving, and at what time, the reception staff were not prepared for our arrival and there... More

This is a truly elegant hotel in a splendid location on Lake Maggiore. The rooms are furnished in a classical style with excellent facilities, most have balconies and free Wi-Fi is a bonus! The staff are cheerful and helpful and we had no problem changing our room when we arrived. We were at the rear of the Hotel but that... More

I was picked up by the tour guide from Milan airport and already I was absolutely in love! This is what I had imagined my trip to Italy would be like. Even the drive into the hotel was beautiful with winding roads and million dollar villas, who my driver conveniently pointed out were for sale. Upon entering the hotel, I... More
