Was here for 5 days. The staff were really friendly despite me not speaking any Italian. The rooms are nicely decorated, nothing fancy but suitable for a comfortable stay. The town is very sporadic with opening times, be prepared for a search to find places to eat

My wife and I have a very enjoyable and good value set-lunch here. When I realised that I had left my diabetes insulin bag on an island 15 minutes away, the hotel owner immediately telephoned around and arranged for it to be returned to me on the quay. Her command of English was excellent and her assistance exemplary. I cannot... More

Shame. I picked this place because it was around the corner from a main piazza in Stesa. Many many times in italy, these are the better ones because they need to work a little harder, not having a good, touristy position. The people working the restaurant in this hotel forgot that idea a LOOONG time ago if they every had... More

My granddaughter and I stayed four nights in mid-June in this lovely hotel with delicious food and a friendly, efficient and helpful staff on duty at all times. Carla, the manager, was amazing. She's always there, overseeing the quality of cleaning, cooking and communicating with everyone in her wide variety of languages. The hotel location is perfect . . .... More

We stayed here for four nights through a Road Scholar hiking/walking adventure trip to the Northern Italian Lakes region. This hotel is just charming with Carla, the owner on hand at all times. Our stay felt like we were in a B&B, as Carla explained about leaving the hotel at night and times for breakfast etc. Our room was fine... More

Stresa is one of the most beautiful cities that I have ever visited and it was made all the more pleasant by my stay at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are affordable and we also got a great view of the town from our room. The location of the hotel is also prime.

My wife and myself stayed at the hotel for two nights. Location of the hotel is excellent, a two minutes walk from the ferries. pier Room very clean. (We stayed at the at a triple room since it was the only one that was free for two nights when we booked it). No AC in the room. We had two... More

My husband and I stayed here with two good friends for eight days in August 2013. We found it to be a beautiful building, with spotless, well furnished rooms. The welcome we received was second to none, and the quality and quantity of food provided for evening meals was excellent. All the staff were very friendly, especially our host, and... More

Well to be honest I had a pretty normal stay at Hotel Fiorentina, nothing extraordinary, didn’t dine at the hotel, stayed just one night. Check in was fast, the room was small but clean, the bathroom was also clean, small TV we didn’t have a good view though, the view was overlooking someone’s compound, not sure any other rooms have... We sought out this restaurant based on the recommendation in Frommer's "Northern Italy" tour book (also a poor guide for the Piemonte-Lago Maggiore region). We can only imagine how much this "family" restaurant paid for that plug! We should have left the moment we saw the menu - which posts a prix fixe 3-course "Tourist Menu" in 4 languages. The... More
