Here you can find a really friendly atmosphere! We had a good glass of wine on the balcony at the sunset and it was great! Rooms and bathrooms are clean and cozy and all is really peaceful. We really enjoyed breakfast with fresh "croissants" on the terrace. We loved it and hope to have the chance to be back again.

Our stays are always short (1 night). This B&B is our yearly stop on the way to Tuscany, Puglia, ... Nice B&B, close to Stresa and only a few km's from the highway. Clean rooms and bathroom Very friendly hosts. Good breakfast, served on the terrace with a great view on the "Lago Maggiore" Important for us is that our... More

beautifull house and great view. Very friendly guesthouse and the room and bathroom were well fournished and clean. Massimo is very good at making you feel welcome and is very helpfull. I hope I get the change to go there again. Also peacefull because it is a few kilometers up the mountain. Walking down to the centre of Stresa takes... More

We spent a week here recently and enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it being served out in the sunshine on the balcony. We had booked a room with a balcony overlooking the lake but the garden had grown too tall to see the lake. The only down-side is that the ensuite is not attached to... More

We booked Lo Scoiattolo for the last leg of our vacation in Italy just looking for a comfortable place to stay before we fly out of Italy via Milan Malpensa airport. We got more than we wanted! The attic was cozy and charming. Not good for very tall people or those not very agile at avoiding the roof beams. But... More

We stayed in the hotel for one night to see Stresa and Boromean islands. And actually enjoyed it a lot. Location is a bit far from the city center of Stresa, but we had a car and in 4 minutes were in the city (free parking is easy to find there). Owner of the hotel is a very friendly person... More

Stresa is a pretty expensive resort, so Massimo's place is a really good option. as long as you are prepared to walk.or drive into the town, because you are high above Stresa . The walk down takes about 15-20 minutes and quite abit more on the way back! Massimo is a very good host and full of suggestions for both... More

We stayed 2 nights in the upstairs suite. Very spacious, clean, nicely furnished, great balcony with fabulous views to the lake. Older couples may have some difficulty negotiating the layout and low ceilings but we are in our early 60s and had no problems.Massimo very friendly and helpful, even came in his car to direct us to his home when... Massimo, the owner, is a charming and helpful host who serves a varied and delicious breakfast with freshly brewed coffee on the terrace if the weather is pleasant, otherwise in the spacious living/dining room. We were in Stresa 4 days and Massimo helped us plan the days, dependent on the weather. The upstairs suite is large with rustic wooden beamed... More
