I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Azalea. The staff were very friendly and were very willing to help you out. The fourth floor of the hotel has some excellent views so it is worth going up there even if your room isn't! Breakfast was served in a continental style - bread, cheeses, meats etc. and I had no complaints about... More

We stayed 2 nights in June 2014 as part of a 3 week tour o Italy. Hotel was just OK- it had everything it said it had e.g. pool etc although it was very dated & our room was bright orange which was actually not very relaxing. Female reception staff were lovely. Breakfast was OK - good rolls but awful... More

We had a mini reunion here. 3 rooms, 8 people. We were on the 4th floor with a balcony and a view. Actually 2 views out one side the church tower and the town, the other side Lake Maggiore. Since it is off season it was not too busy. The staff tried to accommodate and we managed to communicate okay.... More

Highly recommend staying at the Azalea if you're looking for clean, simple, comfortable rooms in a well-located hotel. We arrived mid-day to an easy check in and were given a room on the third floor. I originally booked a ground-floor room but was upgraded to the more expensive third-floor room with a balcony, a king and a twin bed, and... More

We arrived at Malpensa airport in torential rain and after a lentghy easyjet flight delay. It took us more than an hour to sort out our pre-booked car through Avis (read do not use). After finally hitting the road at 10pm we had a puncture in our VW golf on the side of the autostrada. All of this delayed us... More

Centrally located hotel, just a few minutes away from the pier where boats leave for the nearby islands. The room was clean and spacious. Not too fancy but a decent hotel with a decent price.

I met friends from Australia in Bavena to begin a 3 week trip through Italy. My friends had made arrangements for our stay in Lake Maggiore. I had checked out the hotel's website before leaving home and wasn't particulary impressed. As a result, I was very pleasantly surprised when I arrived. This is a small, family run hotel located on... More

Staying here was unexpected as there was mix up with our original booking at another hotel and they were not able to accommodate us. They found a booking for us at the Azalea as we needed somewhere that would be convenient with a car and Azalea certainly fitted the bill and was right in the centre of town. Was easy... More

This hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of the old town. The lakefront, a selection of restaurants and the boats to the islands are less than a five minute walk away. Our room was spotlessly clean and equipped with a state-of-the-art shower, hair dryer, air conditioning and flat screen TV. Wi-Fi and parking were available at no extra... More
