This hotel is aptly named as it certainly is Grand. I think it is one of the most opulent hotels I have ever stayed in and situated wonderfully on the side of Lake Maggiore and we were lucky to a room overlooking this stunning place. The rooms are just as opulent and the welcoming foyer and surrounds and quite spacious.... More

This hotel has the great advantage of being located right on the lake shore, leaving the main road behind it. Most hotels in this area do not have this important advantage. The view on the lake is exceptional, the service is friendly and professional, the rooms, the beds, the furniture and the bathrooms are comfortable and clean. We stay there twice... More

Having recently stayed with other members of my family in the Grand Dino, words almost fail me to express how magnificent this Hotel is, the Décor takes your breath away. The standard of service would be very hard to beat, every public room was immaculate, The breakfast was so good we lingered on for an hour; I really believe that... More

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night as part of insight tour. As you walk in the hotel is very grand it reminded me of a cruise ship. Our room was big and we had great views. The indoor pool was great. But the reception staff were not helpful in getting you set up on wifi and you only... More

We stayed here as part of an Insight tour. Hotel has a lot of character and old world charm. We stayed in the old part on the 2 nd floor and had a view of Lake Maggiore - beautiful. Wi-Fi good, although we had to gomto front desk to check in as they had installed a new system. Food server... More

This was the hotel that was booked by Trafalgar as part of the Best of Italy tour. It is beautiful, with great views of Lake Maggiore and good proximity to local restaurants, as well as the pier to visit Isola Bella. The only downside was that the staff is perhaps too professional, a little stiff for my taste. And the... More

A grand classic hotel with lovely lake views...and after all, why be on Lago Maggiore if not to enjoy the gorgeous lake views. Service is excellent. The rooms are old world Italy, perhaps a little dated looking, but overall lovely and clean. No complimentary breakfast is served here like all other 4-5 star hotels that we have stayed at.

It is an enormous hotel more like two hotels joined together with an up market corridor. It IS grand even the lifts were marble-- given the marble quarries were only a mile away it should not be surprising. Anyway our first room was good but so far from the main part of the hotel we changed on night two to... More

Our room did not have a view of the lake, but we still had an amazing view of the town and the mountains (see photo). This is a large hotel right on Lake Maggiore. It has everything--swimming pools, shopping, a huge lobby and dining room, a beautiful bar, a wrap around porch with lots of seating and views of the... More

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! The lobby reminded me of a Vegas hotel with all the stained glass. Stunning! The lobby was incredible, our room had a Victorian look to it, along with a private balcony. Only a couple issues. No air condition after Oct. 1., but we were there on Oct. 1 and the night cooled off so it... More
