The Arena, is in a great location overlooking Lake Garda at the South Eastern end of the Sirmione peninsular, in the Colombare area - about a 35-40 minute wlk along the lake to Sirmione itself. Handy parking at the hotel itself. Most parking in Sir Smallish rooms, but comfortable, good breakfast. The rooftop pool is wonderful. Lots of great restaurants... More

The pictures of the hotel that you will see on booking web-sites are misleading: The hotel is situated on a main road, very noisy all the time. The information we got from a booking web-site were also misleading, because we got a room with no balcony, small window, in the attic. It looked more like a service room than a... More

After looking at a lot of hotels in Sirmione my boyfriend and I decided on this one, which unfortunately we were disappointed with. The hotel itself was lovely, although I agree with some of the other reviews about the pool images being a bit misleading. We didn't realize there was a main road between the hotel and the lake -... Free parking and the rooms were excellent and very clean. the hotel was on main road but it was not noisy at all we had a front room with balcony. It was a good walk to the main resort however... Hotel Arena reminds me of the style of Holiday Inns in the UK - bonus is that every room has a balcony or terrace from where you can get a view of the lake, but there is a main road outside the hotel which intercepts the view. If you have children, there is no bath, only a shower. The staff... More

We have just returned from staying at The Arena Sirmione.. This hotel is ideally situated for touring the lakes and visiting Verona and Venice. The breakfast contained a good range of continental foods and the coffee flowed. We swam in the roof top pool with its panoramic view towards the mountains and lake. The receptionist speaks many languages and she... More

We found the hotel pretty much as others have said though the owners are not at all friendly. The staff are great and very helpful, the owners don't deserve them. Our family room was very clean with a really nice big bathroom, air conditioning and a fridge. The location is fine if you make use of the free bikes. These... More

stayed at this hotel for four days, a family of four. Had a great room in the new block. Room was superb, breakfast just what we needed. Friendly staff who all spoke English. The best bit was the pool, lovely. A little too far to walk to the old town with small children but great location if you have a... More

This hotel is very clean and pleasant. The room we had was very recently refurbished in a modern and classy style, with comfortable beds, air conditioning, and spa bath (small extra charge paid for this). The hotel is also very quiet at night. The breakfast was the usual Italian type, cereals, coffee, yoghurt, fruit, croissants, scrambled egg and mini sausages.... More

Like most of the other reviewers on this site I liked this hotel. It was clean, efficient and with friendly staff. It has plenty of restaurants near to it but be warned it is not really in Sirmione. To get to the town is about 25mins walk (but a nice walk!). I think it would be better if we had... More
