We have just come back from a short break at Hotel Sirmione. The hotel is a classic 4 stars hotel with the Italian standards. On the plus side we have to say that the location is excellent, rightly on the main square in the historic centre of Sirmione, directly on the lake. Sirmione is one of the nicest villages on... more

We have just come back from a fortnight in Hotel Sirmione and found it to be absolutely fantastic! The location cannot be faulted in terms of getting around the rest of Lake Garda, the ferry stop is literally next door to the hotel, and the bus stop is a maximum of a 5 minute walk away. The hotel's location on... more

The hotel was excellant, any previous reviews where the staff were criticised....well they must have changed all of them by the time we got ther. Our room overlooking the harbour was spotlessly clean, with clean bed linen every day. The restaurant too was excellant, the staff were always most welcoming, our much larger table for 4 was always ready for... more

Having seen the Hotel reviewed on trip adviser,l I sent a quick fax to the them directly to organise a booking. Within 24 hrs I had an email response confirming my reservation. We were located in the second of the 2 blocks, next to the pool and above the spa area. Though there was a faint smell of sulphur in... more

Just had two weeks at the Hotel Sirmione. The hotel has two buildings, one of which has the reception and the dining room and the other has the thermal pool. We had a comfort room in the latter. The room inself was adequate, nothing special, but then again it is the cheapest, however, the big problem was the overwhelming stink... more

We spent 2 nights here and it was awful! The first room they offered us "superior" was like something out of a 70's British sitcom and tiny smelly and dark. The next "junior suite" was the same but slightly bigger. The pool is heated lake water with green slime, a guy was in the pool as we swam scrubbing the green slime... more

This hotel is a real gem - it is one of the best 4-star hotels we have ever stayed at and we've travelled all round the World. They seem to have remembered everything, even down to providing a brass candle-stick, red candle and matches in case of power cuts - fortunately, we did not have one! We reserved a premium... more

Room was to a high standard with daily cleaning and linen change. Nice touch at night when covers turned down and choc put on... more

We have just returned from a 7 night stay. We had booked a Premium room at an additional cost of £32 per night. Don't bother it is poor value. Either go with the basic Comfort room or go the whole hog and pay for a lake view and balconey. The hotel is right in the centre of town. Although Sirmione... more

The hotel asks you to call their "reservations centre" which will then put you permanently on hold. They do not respond to emails. We have friends who are trying to use this hotel for their wedding and say they are having a nightmare dealing with them. Basically avoid this place at all costs. I don't know how they manage to... more
