The staff is very friendly and polite, the hotel is clean and confortable, in an excellent position and with a good parking in front of it so you don't need to park far from the hotel. We visited this hotel with a view to staying here on our next visit to Lake Garda. Hotel bar was comfortable with an excellent range of whisky and friendly barman. We stayed here for one night - we were meant to stay for 3 nights. Having stayed in a true 5-star hotel in Lake Como, our expectations were not met. Stayed at the Grand Hotel Terme in April 2004 and are returning May 2005. Hotel is a good standard and very clean although was not taken by the restaurant. Fabulous position next to the old town(1 min walk). Right on the lake for swimming and great views. Food excellent in a lovely setting(try to eat outside). Nice pool and terraces. Natural sulphur spa, so on the odd occassion you could get the sulphur smell in the grounds but it should not spoil your stay. High quality Spa. My room... more

We have just returned from a week in the Grand Hotel Terme and as reasonably frequent visitors to Italy, found this Hotel to be the most disappointing yet.
